with that being said, these forums are going to be getting alot more active now. going to be lots of new players going into SB as well as returning vets. would be cool for all you new and old players to introduce youselves and maybe post your character name and server. if people are planning on getting a mmorpg guild going please announce here. if you have a guild that is recruiting new members please say so and who to contact.

Welp, I'm almost done downloading and I can't wait to play. I'd been considering SB for awhile, but I didn't want to pay for it. Perfect time to join:)
I'm trying to get into SB.. I downloaded it, and after 4 attempts and a different unzipping program, I finnally got it to install.
My next obstacle is Ubisoft. Every time I try to 'subscribe' to the new game, via the ubisoft membership thing, it tells me that they are having technical difficulties and to try again later.
Anyone else having this problem?

* Loreplay: On this server guilds are restricted on their Race and Professions options dictated by the Charter the guild selected. For example a guild that choose Dwarves charter can only have Dwarf members.
I play on Vindication with a guild called MoM (Ministery of Masquers) which is a Church of the All-Fathers charter (aka cathederal charter). Most guilds on this server are actively helping out new players.

I must admit this game has a steep learning curve, graphics are outdated but this does not deter from the fact that this game rocks .. its all about PvP ... Are you tired of grinding mobs, bored with the same old quests, constrained in your PvP then try Shaodowbane and get a taste of extreme PvP!

Its a rpg, you gain experiance from monsters. If you have an elder player help you, you can get to fighting levels quickly. Lets say you only play 4 hrs a day, so thats level 30 day 1, level 55 day 2, and a level 55 with equipment (it doesnt even have to be the best) can kill, or rather HELP kill, level 75 charactors.
In Shadowbane, a level 20 charactor could kill a level 75 AFK charactor easy (well unless its a "defense" based charactor, then it will feel like other games where you cant even hit a high level guy lol, your attack rateing would be a bit to low).
Hell, I was in a group of level 20 - 25 players, and a level 75 barbarian attacked us. He went after the priest that was healing our group, that priest was smart, ran him in circles, and we killed the barbarian. Its amazing what you can do if you use your head, instead of crying about a level 75 griefing you.
