Lost Ark News - The Lost Ark team hosted a media conference this week that revealed some new information about the forthcoming game including, most notably, a bit about its potential business model. While many players have championed a subscription model, the team feels that this is not the best course for the game but is also cognizant of the fact that any type of cash shop would need to be carefully managed.

    I am cautiously optimistic about this game. Having become "too excited" in the past causing a premature gaming orgasm, I have learned to restrain my expectations. I do hope this game turns out to be a decent game as its been a long time since I enjoyed a new mmo.

    f2p guarantees this game will be a massive success. Just look at Black Desert, b2p with cash shop and it's nearly dead already.

    i remember seeing a video on youtube about this game a year or so ago. now that ive played through d3 im pretty excited to give this game a try when it comes over here :)

    Basically clicking away text windows ruins every MMO, try to have fun instead of rushing things. Without story and lore all there is left is a bunch of mechanics.

    This game continues to impress. I will most definitely be buying this. Even if the micro transactions become P2W, I will still be playing as the game has all the elements I want to play. I am sure I will get my monies worth out of it. Who knows they may get it right.

    You pick the 4 basic classes (which are gender locked), then later on you pick a more advance class.

    Warrior class -> Warlord and Berserker (male gender locked)

    Fighter class -> Infighter and Battlemaster (Female gender locked) 

    Gunner class -> Devil Hunter and Blaster (Male gender locked)

    Magician class -> Arcana, Bard and Summoner (Female gender locked)

    As for the skills themselves you can upgrade your skills at skill level 4, 7, and 10. Sorta like the Skill Rune system in Diablo 3.

    Yea, unfortunately this CB is Korea only. They even have a IP block on their website..:(

    No word as to when this game will be coming west.

    As with all such, we will have to wait and see how it plays. I'd rather they have a subscription (for all the reasons Yoshi P stated that FF14 would use that model). WAY too much F2P trash has been released at this point.

    They lost me at, "pay to play". When you chose that type of model over subscription based, you're saying that the players don't really matter, but making money does.

    We dont have all classes yet. THEY dont have all classes yet. And there is a support class already. The bard.

    That's funny because the only people who complained about whole P2W omg meteor is falling are still playing. How do you exactly know that the game is nearly dead already when there are people playing? If you got this false information from reddit and YouTubers, you got it all wrong. Good day!
