Buying Used game and Account

in Final Fantasy XI

Hi, Im wondering weather its possible to buy a copy of FFXI off of someone and then change the account details? So far i've read this post..

Sorry to delete the post, but the Square-Enix EULA for FFXI prohibts the selling of an account. Since it's against their rules to sell your account according to Square-Enix, I had to shut this topic down. Sorry about that Fish, I know you ment no harm image.

And im kinda worried that its not allowed or something, If i buy the game off someone and change the account details to me credit card etc is it allowed or possible? I live in the UK and the seller I presume lives in the US.

    You can buy the game off of somebody, but not their character or any other in game things.

    So I buy the game, install it, then how do I set-up my own account? and how much would it cost (if anything to start from scratch?
