in Guild Wars
Hi there I bought GW at launch and played if for a bit untill getting bored. With the new expansion I was thinking of coming back and was just wondering two thing:
Best PvE class combo
Best PvP class combo
Any tips will help, currently have a 20 NEK/War

there a best build. thoguh there are some that are popular:
pve: moslt w/mo
pvp:
W/R fer iway *ahem* "im gay"
R/me: fer trapping and spiking
n/mo : fer spiking or order

Avoid warrior/monk. Save the Monk professions for a monk primary or as a Elementalist/Monk or else its wasted.
Well that depends on how you intend to play. I have a level 20 W/Mo that does just fine, but that's because I team with henchies 95% of the time and Rebirth has saved me on many occasions from having to start a mission over.
On the other hand, there are no other monk skills I use with my W/Mo other than Rebirth, so there are probably more useful builds for a PUG. But again, since I don't play my warrior on pick-up teams, it's never been an issue.
There really are no wasted combos on this game, depending on how you choose to play.
im the most experianced player here (2000+ hours of game play) so forget wat these guys are saying and listen up..
guild wars is about tactics + stratergy..
there is no 1 best pve combo + pvp combo.. it depends on the situation or the build.. especially for pvp
do any class research the skills/builds u can use and that would most likely be better then any bodies pre made build
people say w/mo is for pve? well u know wat i do 4 man pvp many times with w/mo and solo it.. guild wars doesnt have one class/skill/build that owns, u just have to come up with ur own

i dont use iway no more scince rank 3 but it isnt a build u should mock, why it is mocked so much i dont know but many people say it doesnt involve skill, which it does! many times iway win hoh so they must be doing something right! if iway groups can beat spike groups/balanced groups.. u do the math

MATH reached rank #2 guild using iway and are all rank 9+ if im not mistaken i think they broke up, i was once apon a time a main member of math till they became retards :P

I see 1-2 ranger spiker teams in the HoH on a Saturday night american district.
2-4 mm groups
2-3 spiker groups
6 balanced (new players who dont use cookie cutters)
1-2 air spikers
0-1 healing ball teams or something I dont get
and about 10 IWAY teams?
out of the 10 that go in how many win? 1-2?
Its just an excuse for fame farmers as I can get into an IWAY group in 2seconds... Simple

Agree with Aseenus depends on what you are doing and what team build you are using... some favorites of mine for PvP
Boon Prot monk using MoR or OoB.
W/N Hammer using plague touch
and ranger interupters.
For PvE I generally farm with my warrior or my invinci-monk but for teams I like playing a nuker of some sort.
