I was under the impression that it wasn't doing very well.
Superdata only collect data on 500 games across all platforms
So, their lists are wildly inaccurate in terms of actual market performance (i.e. GW2 is not the 4th highest grossing game on PC in July), all the graph is really telling you is that GW2 made more than Doom but less than the top 3.

Can you link to your data that indicates to you that GW2 isn't in the top five across digital platforrms by worldwide revenue? Is the problem that you're stuck on this "500 games" thing and you're ignoring data from the pay systems and digital distributors? Or is this just the usual "SuperData bad, make SuperData go away" stuff?

OK, I guess GW2 *could* be 4th highest grossing game on PC in July, that is a possibility.
But, its just a possibility, its not a certainly because superdata do not collect data on EVERY PC game, only a tiny percentage.
I admit I am hung up on the 500 games bit. There are 6000+ games on steam, 1000s of games on consoles and many 1000s of games on mobile devices. This means superdata is only collecting data on a tiny fraction of the market.
We've been over this argument before. I agree that the data they collect is accurate, but their analyses are misleading. They really should be stating "Top 5 PC games out of the XX we collect data on". At least that way they are informing readers that their scope is very limited. For example, imagine if Blizzard didn't provide Superdata with data about their game. WoW is consistently in their charts, but if Blizzard didn't voluntarily provide data, the charts would be missing WoW. How do we know that other big publishers aren't withholding data?
The answer is we don't. Without paying money, we don't know what the 500 games are that Superdata has data on. We don't know how many PC games they are actually tracking. We don't know how many console / mobile games they're tracking. All we do know for certain is that the data is incomplete.

They have LoL in the MMO category. The entire industry is full of fucktards that don't use the MMO definition I do! That means all their data is shit.
Also, SWTOR under P2P? Or is that a tongue in check slight at the very restrictive F2P setup.
SWTOR is more P2P nowadays than f2p. The main reason being that you must be a subscriber in order to have access to Knights of the Fallen Empire. The same will be with the upcoming Knights if the Eternal Throne, only paying players will have access to it.
Uh oh, GW2 is in top 5. I think grief counseling attendance is going to increase considering how many people on this site claim it's failing/failed/dead/dying. This might put a hole through some of their theories and armchair financial analysis.
That said, it's still SuperData. So as amusing it would be to witness the crying and gnashing of teeth on these forums as to why GW2 is at number 4, I still think their "data" is a joke and not to be taken seriously.
Unless they provide a list of every game they looked at, everything else is speculation. It is what it is. I know I enjoy GW2 and there's always lots of players around. I'm surprised no ESO.

It has nothing to do with definitions. It has everything to do with context and consistency. This week SWTOR is a P2P MMO, and next it will be a F2P MMO if that's what SuperData needs it to be.

This exactly, SuperData is in the business of selling statistics to businesses. If those statistics aren't interesting no one will buy them so they twist their group definitions around until they are interesting enough to sell.

You forget the fact that if it was not useful businesses would not buy it.

SWTOR is both and neither, as historical data is available for both their subscription and microtransaction revenue. Where it shows up in a report is entirely up to what the client requests.

Their data becomes even less credible when you take into account most of their source data is actually from the mobile market, their 'guesstimates' are amusing at times, but rarely accurate with any real degree of certainty, i am not even sure they have ever been correct in their estimations? Short answer, if a games financial information is not publicly available, then chances are Superdata doesn't have access to it either, and the reason why their charts and estimates etc. rarely seem to match reality, is because its mostly based on mobile market trends, also probably why Superdata seems unsure of what MMO falls in which bracket, or even none MMO's for that matter, undoubtedly a lot of 'fudging' of the figures going on to 'sex up' the data they do have, as it were
