Another Ubisoft game closing its doors (12/2016) is Ghost Recon: Phantoms an MMOTPS. I call on MMORPG to add to its home page a list of F2P games that have closed, so P4F(those complaining about P2W) gamers can see how their play style affects the F2P market. Maybe journalist if they are faced with this list will stop promoting a failed monetization.

The reason why these games are closing is because the *gameplay* was bad, if these games were P2P or  B2P they would have closed just the same (except sooner as the funds would have run our faster).

Yea, this game became repetitive real fast even without P2W.  If anything, P2W was only really implemented in this game AFTER the devs already realized it was a failure and thus they needed to milk as much cash from it as possible before it closed.

Although it's an interesting idea, it got too repetitive too fast. There could have been ways to spice it up with other modes of play and even ways to make it continue to succeed.

Without even adding modes porting this title to Mobile for instance would have given it a new lease on life for sure. There are some games like this doing well on mobile that don't have near the features that this did. I of course don't know how easy this title would have been to port to mobile but I'm extremely sure it would have done well and made money again for at least a few more years.

Game needed some PvE dungeons which you could team up with other players to do.  But I guess the designers were too lazy to design their own levels rather than just leave it all up to the player castles or something.
