The anniversary update caused some peoples PC's to randomly freeze, the latest update KB3176938 is supposed to fix that bug. I was not affected by the bug until I installed the latest update, at which point my PC became almost unusable, taking upwards of 5 minutes to respond to mouse clicks and on occasion throwing up messages that windows itself had stopped responding.
The bug affected people who had moved some critical folders ( documents etc.) to a second logical drive so if this is you then move them back to their default locations before installing. If you are affected by the bug after the latest update hold down shift while selecting restart and use system restore to roll back. Microsoft appear unaware of the problem with KB3176938 but I and I am sure many others will soon inform them.

Will come with the nightmare of do releases without causing any issues on the ecaton of different hardware configurations, their drivers and versions the OS runs on. It's fun.
