Until I start seeing the game becoming the trailer they used to advertise it im going to continue to feel as if I were robbed out of 60$ sadly, bug fixes and small tweaks are nice but I want to see the plethora of features that made me interested in this game.

You can't hype and sell the game on features that don't end up shipping, and then go silent after the poop hits the fan.

I don't think he necessarily scammed people, except for the missing features advertised in the couple of months before release. But they need to just come out and address the missing features and the fact that players can't see each other like he said they would. Just apologize for the realities of cut features and let people know which features you are going to put into the game in the coming months/years (for free).

"Here’s what we’ve been busy with over the 2-3 weeks since release:
    • A community/support management team has been brought on board.
    • Support issues raised are been categorised by that team, and we are fixing them in order of priority.
    • We’ve released 4 patches for PC and 4 patches for PS4.
    • We’ve written up patch notes for all those patches. "

    ....

So, basically what you should have done from the start. Those are obligations, not perks.

"We started doing our job, you know, what you have been expecting and what we said from the start but didn't deliver". LOL. Too little too late.

No fate but what we make, so make me a ham sandwich please.

My issue is that after playing for 30-60 mins the game's frame rate drops to an unplayable degree (maybe five frames per second) and I have to restart the game completely, they haven't done anything to remedy the issue even though the patch notes say otherwise.

Looks like they're fixing bugs first, then adding the missing promised content?

Only if you spend $50 more for the DLCs that will include the promised content.

No matter what the knobs who thought this game was an mmo say, the game is doing fine. Second bought game last week in the UK.

They will keep improving and adding content.

You, sir, offend me. It isn't just PC, it's the console as well. Check out this video, or google up another one with the title name and add lies to it... creator himself kept on saying what features would be in the game and demoed the game with said features... Just sayin. The game was released on some serious hype and promises...

The irony... everyone said No Man's Sky was the real space sim... while Star Citizen was vaporware. Yeah...

  • TalonsinTalonsin Member EpicPosts: 3,619
LOL, all the patch notes list are fixes to crashes and other bugs. No mention of the missing content/features or even an acknowledgement of them.

I am trying to talk my friend into selling me his copy for $20 so I can fly around and name everything SEANMURRAYSUCKS or SEANMURRAYLIED or some other such nonsense.

You can say your project is X, promises the world and deliver Y.
It sells and rises to the top of the charts.

    Still remains a scam.

These guys are releasing patches... WITH patchnotes? So many patchnotes they require their own bullet point! It's moves like these that will bring honor and glory back to they're team.

what a bunch of bullshit, what they have listest are not features but what any decent dev would do and not even make a new about it...

what about 90% of the features missing in the games ??!!

I was lucky enough to get my refund from Sony via PS4 before they quit giving out the refunds once they realized hundreds of people were applying for a refund and the rating on the game was tanking quickly.

You know what we call that in the US?

    Bait and Switch.

That is a crime... Felony on this level.

    bait-and-switch
    noun
    noun: bait-and-switch
the action (generally illegal) of advertising goods that are an apparent bargain, with the intention of substituting inferior or more expensive goods.
    "a bait-and-switch scheme"

Ok ok, so I am reaching. It is still similar.

    How about the Lemon Law

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lemon_law

Lemon laws are American state laws that provide a remedy for purchasers of cars and other consumer goods in order to compensate for products that repeatedly fail to meet standards of quality and performance.

140 hours and still having fun. By the way, when I pre-ordered my game some time ago, there the game was listed as a "single-player" offering. That was well before the first expected release date. Also, Murray's discussion of "multiplayer" was about 2 years ago. The game changed since that time and he had repeatly said that those expecting an MMO or a multiplayer experience would be disappointed.

Look, if you don't like the game, that is fine. Those of us that do like the game are going to go ahead and play it without you.

Let's party like it is 1863!

LOL you have to, it's single player.

The hate isn't that it is single player... it is that it is supposed to offer so, so, so much more than what was promised.

That is odd...  It seems you are completely WRONG about those comments being 2 years old.

And those are just the written interviews I found with a quick google search.  I would list the video ones too but it isnt worth the effort as I have already shown how wrong you are.

Looks like the game is effectively still an 'alpha' version, perhaps once the game gets to 'beta' stage it will begin to have some of those missing features.

For me the game is garbage, I just don't play games without any meaningful content or story.

But hey I'm sure many will/do love it. At least an average gamer will get much more out of it than out of Overwatch. Sadly for them it's not Blizzard behind the game, so they won't get a free pass that they othervise would.

Is it just me, or is this a really really weak year for PC games? Apart from Doom and Dark Souls 3 there was literally nothing. Hell Blood and Wine DLC is by far the best thing that happened this year.

I died at the youtube comment, ""Is there a copy of Half Life 3 hidden in the game?"

"Uhmm, yeah, yeah at the moment there is a copy of Half Life 3 hidden". So on point with the utter blatant way Sean Murray lied.
