Then this thread title is wrong. You wrote, "What game are you excited about?", that is a question in relation to the future, not the present. You should have said, "what game are you playing that excites you?", which in itself is a pretty silly question to ask. There really a point to this thread OP, lol.
Actually, that's a pretty insightful condition to put on the question. What games that are out right now have more excited? The list doesn't look anything like it would were it framed the other way.
These titles have me excited. I care about what's going on in them and they have me enthused for various reasons.

I could provide you with a fairly long list of great games as suggestions if you would like but I would prefer to do so only if the plan is to not just troll all of them you know what I mean?
First off I am pretty picky with what games excite me, and the games that excite me aren't out yet but at least its being worked on, thank god.
And finally, I've played every type of game that I no longer get that excited anymore unless its a whole new genre I would be intrigued at least.
Also don't worry about providing me a list of suggestions, don't waste your time.

I wanted to hear about what games people are playing right now that they are excited about.

Myself, I'm currently playing and enjoying greatly a highly realistic piloting simulation of the Boeing 737NG airliner (the "PDMG 737ngx" for FlightSimulator X or Lockheed's Prepar3D). And I'm also using a buttload of other very expensive addons which give some pretty decent graphics of the entire world, simulated air traffic control, a virtual copilot I can interact with using voice commands, simulated air traffic doing their business at both airports and in the skies, simulated (potentially bitchy) passengers that I need to keep happy, dynamic real time or historical weather including factors like icing and windshear etc., and a couple of plugins that rate my performance when a flight is eventually completed.
The downside has been a simply massive learning curve. One which I almost didn't make it through. And a final price tag of a little over $600 for all the software. This sim is now truly fantastic, but never again will I shell out that kind of money. Beware the coming of "payed addons" to other sectors of gaming besides simulators! Because this is what you will be in for.

Katharina definitely made that game for me. Honestly, I found it average in every other way, but she always makes me smile. Her character was very well done.
Right now though, I'm playing Deus Ex: MD. Don't really care that Squeenix made a shameless money grab with microtransactions. It's a cool story, and I like being shallow and looking at pretty things from time to time.
I remember when I got so excited about new games releases and had to get them upon release. Now I have no issues waiting until titles that seem to have gotten a good rating go on sale. I tend to get keen once I start playing and it actually surprises me and holds my attention. Without the indie gaming scene & one or two decent PC game developers free of EA clutches gaming creativity in the gaming industry would have become stale.
Last weekend I upgraded my PC to Windows 10 and a 480gb SSD so everything is really fresh and fast again. Its made me ditch what I was playing (Sims 3, Total Warhammer, FF13) and revisit some older games.
Skyrim I've been without a decent RPG for a while now so am revisiting Skyrim. I hadn't really dipped into mods much before so decided to go all out this time round. Have a decent amount of graphical improvements (HD textures, better water, lighting weather effects etc) and an absolute ton of new craftable gear. Currently running round in armour from Fable with oversized 2h weapons from Monster Hunter. Its making the game really fun, just looks awesome again and I love the higher-fantasy style armours and weapons I can now use. Once I've played through enough to content again I'll start adding new content from mods and may also try out Enderal.
Watch Dogs Haven't played this before, bought it in steam summer sale so now giving it a go. Only just dipped my toe in but it seems fun for now.
I will be buying Deus Ex: MD in the near future too, but might replay HR first.

Im currently playing and having fun with Zelda twilight princess hd, age of wonders 3, and dwarf fortress. I may get back into Skyrim after I beat Zelda. I never did mod or even actually beat it lol.
I'm looking forward to bf1 and the new Zelda game.
