Hello friends and foes !
So i am looking on the games we have today with fresh eyes and high hopes.
And i have 2 games that could be great for me.
I am standing at the store window and looking on ESO and GW2 HOT but i need to be 100 % sure before i just waste my money cuz they dont grow on trees.
After some reseach on this thing we call internet i came up with different pros and cons on both games, so i dont know what to aim for.
- Gw2 Hot : I heard this game was great in the start but came with alot of bugs that the devs not could fix properly and they had to roll back patches.
And the sale of this game was not so good anymore. So it feels like GW2 HOT is getting swiped under the carpet among the dust.
- ESO: I have an ESO account from 2014 and i quit after few mounth cuz it was boring to solo play this game because i dident have any friends to
play with in this game beside some unknown guild players i dont know who are.
But i am confused what i must buy and not because theer are some DLC availaible on the site and they cost each 20 EU and there are ike
5 expansions to pick aka 100 EU to unlock the full game content or i can sup each month and be eso plus member ( gold member ripoff )
So what game should i pick ?
And no i wont buy both games

And just some comments about GW2 HOT
I've been playing GW2 since launch and bought HoT. It is a mixed bag. The zones can be treacherous and you often need others to progress unlike the base part of the game. This has upset many people. Really don't find many bugs.
Having said that, you don't "need" all the DLC. I don't have any intention at the moment to buy the Thieves' guild or Dark Brotherhood DLC.
I haven't done a lot of pvp in this game so might be a while before I buy the Imperial City one.
I would say if you already own the game, download it and play it and if the game works better for you then consider what DLC to buy. Because buying everything only to play it for 10 minutes and hate it again is a waste of money.

Yes you have to buy the DLC content, but don't really have to until you finish with all the base content in my opinion.
And there's a bunch of content.
I got extremely turned off of ESO in the first 20 minutes,so much that i have never gone back,so i really don't know if that game gets any better. However the past has shown me that a game that looks bad from the start is likely bad throughout.
having said that, everyone is different, some people could play checkers and claim it is FUN,exciting, while others want to see a lot more diversity and depth in their games.I also see a lot of nostalgic people that would buy or pretend they see AMAZING only because it is an old game series they grew up with.
point being that you may very well like ESO or GW2,i guess depends on what type of games your background delivers you from and how high your expectations are.Personally i have a simple criteria before i dissect a game,i EXPECT that game to give me MANY years of enjoyment and replayability, then i know i will like it.
What has the recent past shown us?MOST games are NOT longevity and MANY are purchased and not played at all or tossed away only a month or two later.NEVER buy when extremely bored or when have loads of money to waste, you will most certainly make a poor purchase.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
I loved GW2 and found the expansion great. There are not that many bugs, the community is good enough. The expansion is a little more group oriented - the open world areas are a lot more difficult. It's a nice challenge.
ESO is very different. It feels like a multiplayer version of an Elder Scrolls game. Obviously, some compromises had to be made to deliver an ESO. It feels like a solo experience. Less "arcade like" than GW2, more traditional RPG. The combat is very specific, I know a lot of people did not like it. It's definitely worth a try though, mainly because it feels quite unique.
For both GW2 and ESO, I don't think you need the expansion. At least not right away. You can get good gameplay out of the basic games.
Rift is the most "classic" out of the three. It feels very similar to WoW in the way it plays.
And lets be honest. Wrothgar was an outstanding DLC, probably the best add-on for any game I have played in recent memory. Imperial City was really good as well, giving a lot of depth and area to PvP.
Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood were at best so-so. Some people liked them, others played them through with one character and vowed never to touch them again. I think most people, like me, started these DLCs, got bored, and never finished them even on a single character.
Tamriel One changes the fundamentals of the game, but does not add any content.
If you buy the Gold edition you can add it to your existing account and get all the perks it supplies, including all of the DLCs for the same cost as buying Wrothgar and Imperial City.
The world is going to the dogs, which is just how I planned it!

And i tryed eso..i could not hold my eyes open for long time since i was soloing alot...
So i will give both games the middel finger up in the air..waay up there Morthy !
There is no games worth playing atm..im depressed now hoorh
