MikehaMikeha Member EpicPosts: 9,196
As a highlight at G-star 2014, the ambitious sandbox animated MMORPG Peria Chronicles has been absent from Nexon’s roadmap in these two years, however, the anime sandbox fans do not give up chasing this highly-anticipated MMORPG. Recently, the developer Thingsoft (now part ofNexon) has updated fans with the latest gaming progress stressing that Peria Chronicles is still under development, though the team has come across a lot of difficulties.

Looks really good, i like the ingame games as a community thing, interested about combat mechanics , pvp...  And end game, is this a gear based game?(arcehage)  Or something closer to guild wars 2?..

Basically clicking away text windows ruins every MMO, try to have fun instead of rushing things. Without story and lore all there is left is a bunch of mechanics.

I remember back when it was announced people speculated that this game is the Korean response to EQNext, or just Landmark? I don't remember exactly. However I love the art style (anime fan) and the idea behind the game. I'm glad it has survived so far.

Looks.. okay. I'm not so big on putting land terraforming in the hands of players - my guess is, at least in the west, it will quickly lead to such "scenic vistas" as the phallus mountains and ass crack valley.

I'm not the biggest anime fan but the way it looks moving in real time is pretty appealing.  Also it wasn't overly sexualized like a lot of games.   I'd play it if it's really a sandbox.

This is pretty cool, except why are the monsters so weird? Ugh.
I want to help design and develop a PvE-focused, solo-friendly, sandpark MMO which combines crafting, monster hunting, and story.  So PM me if you are starting one.

I saw this the other day. It's pretty upsetting that they are basically starting from scratch. I guess it will be better in the long run but I was really looking forward to this one releasing. It really did look amazing.

This is what anime-inspired MMOs are supposed to look like rather than the army of chibi-style MMOs that play as bad as they look.

What got me interested in the game, was the pokemon style battle system. You could capture mobs and then have them fight for you, and learn their skills.

Here where some of the features of the game

Looks awesome...but will it be gear oriented and grindy?

I've been following this one for a long time. There are long periods where they give us no news at all which worries me until they finally tell us something like this. I don't mind waiting for them to get the game right before releasing it but I really wish they would keep us more informed about it.

I get the feeling that this game is trying to channel equal parts Pokemon and Studio Ghibli. Both mean an emphasis on cute, strange creature designs. The combination is certainly vibrant and distinctive, if nothing else.
