I'll love it -- though no one will ever replace Shepard. I loved Dragon Age: Inquisition but in a different way than Origins -- something I'm fully expecting for MEA also. Still -- Mass Effect ...

Three Things...

1st, I watched this on my ultrawide 4k monitor in 4k.. and yes, it looks great.

2. This game seems to have some unique physics to it that ME3 didn't have going for it, very exciting.

3. Why do I get the feeling that this is going to be a PC port FROM console??? I feel cheapened and despaired over this fact.

Needless to say, I am excited. I planned on getting the new Playstation, but I should still be able to play Mass Effect on my PC, where the game was born, raised and looks epic on. Last time I checked... Playstation doesn't have 1080 FE in SLI or 64GB DDR4 RAM.... I'm just sayin.

you watched a youtube stream, streamed to you in 1080p on your 4K monitor?

I dont know if that is how it actually played out but my general point is if the reference source is not distrubuted in 4k then its not a 4k video you just watched

Everyone has to challenge someone on the internetz I guess.

I have my youtube settings to auto,, but you can manually select quality, 2160p which turns it into a 4k stream.

that also depends on the stream itself to be clear. if its not streamed at 4k then that option is not there. with that said i would be shocked if a stream showing off a '4k game' was not streamed in 4k so I assume it was

also I am not sure what black magic technology Sony appears to have that no other vendor in the electronic business has from desktops to smart phones but it appears to be true and people other than me appear to understand this is normally to be expected but i just dont understand

I guess I'm one of the rare ones on the internet who didn't hate on ME3. Hell I think it was a huge improvement over ME2. Just because people didn't like the ending, like the last few minutes of that cinematic, that doesn't mean the whole game was bad. Each game improved upon the next one, so I'm sure Andromeda will too.

I don't even like the sci-fi theme or games, yet mass effect is my favourite RPG of all time. All due to the outstanding storytelling. It's so good that only The Witcher series can actually compare, and nothing else.

Sony and M$ are so misleading with this 4K claim, at best demanding AAA games like M.E will likely internally be rendered between 1080p-1440p, but then up-scaled to 4K with some HDR sampling etc. for output, most wont be rendering at 4k, the extra power should allow 1080p @ 60FPS and developers will have no excuses, but 4k? no chance not with a 60FPS target some might scrap through with 30PFS though.

But on to the important things, M.E.3.... looking good.

Yes, let's play through another trilogy of games which gradually dumb down the mechanics and writing to a level slightly above that of your average military FPS game. Maybe they can top it off with another contrived and idiotic ending too.

Not that any of that matters to the vacuous, simpering Bioware sycophants out there. If Bioware slapped a Mass Effect label on Bejeweled, they'd praise it as the BEST PUZZLE GAME EVER, with the press handing out 9/10 reviews all over the place, paid or otherwise. Ugh.

I found weird that the game is put as Pre-Alpha on the current dev status. When set to release in some months. O.o

Well may be why there's some noticeable polish lacking on the main character face, and really cheap VFX effects (notice 2:15's red beam VFX).

At BioWare, games stay in pre-alpha for most of their development, alpha is when all the content is locked in. See an explanation here.

This game isn't releasing in a couple months lol. It won't release till at least the end of 2017, maybe even 2018. In 2 months they are just revealing a trailer and more gameplay. I'm assuming you must of missed that in the article. No biggie.
