Really? That's awesome. I love Marvel Heroes, but its lack of build depth has been a big issue for me.

For me, it's just going to delay them ever adding true end game progression.  Which is all I am looking for at this point.  Farming gear alone isn't progression, but that's all they offer.  Everything is on hold while they try to implement/balance this.

Is it still going to be playing with toys in the non-immersive isometric view? Is everyone still playing clones of Marvel's heroes? If so, still not interested, and still disappointed.

When it comes to Marvel characters there's only so much you can do compared to a game like Path of Exile. The devs on Marvel Heroes have to stay true to the characters and Marvel approval, so it limits how much you really can do.

I'm looking forward to this update and all the system changes. I think it's definitely a step in the right direction for the game.

To an extent, you have a point. However, it can afford to be much better than it currently is. Almost every character has inappropriate "team-up" summon ultimate abilities and power lines that are boring and non-thematic. Almost every character is loaded with the same basic type of passive abilities. There isn't enough variety within character functions, let alone between characters.

    Huh?

long grind to level cap with death penalties?  They could have done that - they sort of did at launch but didn;t have good

map system?  they added a baby version of it and stopped there

leaderboard system per hero?  doable if they add something worth competing over

trading currencies and random rerolls of gear using them? doable

There's no reason why they couldn't try to cater to the ARPG fans in addition to the Marvel fans.

So they revamped every hero with 52 reviews, including new art assets along with constant interim tweeking, and now they're going to do it again. Bunch of masochists working over there lol.

I have been playing this game since it's inception. I am worried the changes might break it. It has been through so many changes since the start, I should be use to it by now and have some faith in the Staff. I will cross my fingers and hope for the best.
