Is this a MMORPG?

Really I got lost, 1-8 co-op, multiplayer, open world.....they really got me lost here.

is this a MMORPG, or just a single player game that can be played with up to 8 players?

    They talked about an open world adventuring/questing system during the MMORPG live stream, but we have yet to see any of that.  Apparently, it is all a work in progress.
