Don't want to pvp go for peace mode but people can still attack you... what? Then why won't all the tool greifers just be in slaughter mode?

Yeah, would have to learn more details on that one.

This looks like a 80's commercial for some Arnie blockbuster. Jokes aside I am excited for this game.

On the CN version if your in Peace mode and you fight back the attacker, he won't get any Karma.

But if your in Peace mode, and just let him kill you without fighting back, then the attacker will get a huge karma penalty.

Gee look an avatar with wings!  How completely original!!

lol I just have to comment again after watching that "PvP' video. It was like watching the planet saturn fighting its twin brother. That was the cheesist looking eastern action combatI've seen it awhile, and most of it is pretty cheezy.

Why bother even rendering a model, character selection should be like a Red Devil fireworks booth and you just pick the effect that you want to represent your avatar.

This is actual pvp gameplay: Why are people hyped for this? it looks like complete trash and boring gameplay to me. A game like this should not release in 2016.. We have already played this game many times, its the same shit all over again. make some cgi here and there, some good art, make the graphics seem better than they are, promise game modes that wont come out to get people to buy some founders packs, and ur older crappy asian game will make big moneys. Im sure the game will be so popular once they finally release the MASSIVE CROSS SERVER PVP!! <sarcasm the game will have below 500 active users and noone will care.

So... what exactly is karma and a karma penalty? If karma isn't a hotly desired commodity/currency of some sort, then it may not be enough to make a difference.

The way cross server pvp works is, each server hosts its own bunch of shards/channels that act like mini servers within the bigger whole. So there might be only 1 server but you can have cross server pvp with the other channels.

Revelation online borrows allot of stuff from other games. The open world pvp system is borrowed from Lineage 2 and it's karma system .

If you gank someone and get karma, it's a penalty. You are an outlaw and red to everyone, even npc's. If you die while having karma, your gear goes to 0 (hefty repair bill) and you may drop gold or gear.

The only way to get rid of karma is to just wait it out. It takes 20 mins to reduce your karma.

It's more complicated than that but that's the basics.

Not sure what are you talking about, combat looks amazing, responsive, skill based, movement mathers, no lag, cool animations...

Yea, one can complain that every racing game is the same because they all have cars and " we have already played this game many times", but that is just dumb. This game is a MMO, it look like others MMOs because, guess what, it is a MMO and they share features, like other game genres out there...

It seems for me you are just tired of MMOs actually.

Game looks cool to me, i'm only worried about cash shop, P2W elements and good optimized servers. Hope they can deliver it here, the right way, and it do not go the "Archeage" route to oblivion.
