My Solution: For those who don't have time to play MMO, don't fucking play a MMO. Can't compete with others? Then don't try to fucking compete, play with realistic goal instead.
Simple as fuck.
That isn't so much an issue, unless the 1% can dominate and dictate what everyone else can experience. In WoW, the devs ONLY listen to the 1%...why do they deserve such power compared to everyone else? If however it was more balanced in power, say between 50-75%...it would be far more fair for the majority of players. Why play an MMO if the 1% can dominate you no matter how much or how skilled you are? Just because they happen to play more than 99% of everyone else?
Allowing at least "some" automation like older MMOs provided or even get built in (which I've seen before), would solve a lot of the problem.

If you don't have time to play MMOs like that then you shouldn't be playing MMos like that. If you're older with family and working full time, ya know %95 of the gaming community apparently, then Mobile games is probably your thing or games that you can log into for 30 minutes a day throughout the day. 10 hour a day gaming is for teenagers with no jobs on summer vacation. They also spend a lot of money on there 10 hours. That is the reality of gaming. Mobile games are so popular because a lot more people can actually play them. Gaming isn't JUST for teenagers on Summer vacation anymore.
If the game was built that way, sure. Like Eve, which has offline progression. But it wouldn't fit a game like WoW as its competitive in a different way. People gotta work there way up through raids and all that. Having a bot play content for you is skipping content that may be training you. I don't deserve to be top rank if I don't actually play.
@TheScavenger I'd like something to help me at least automate some of WOW or another mmorpg. I have a severe repetitive strain injury (work related) that makes playing painful. If there was a bot or something that could help me with my play it would be great and allow me to play for longer.

Yeah, something like this would help a lot for those who have hand/wrist injuries. My hands and wrists aren't as young as they used to be, and playing MMOs for hours on end like I used to do, really hurts after a while.
Plus a lot of MMOs already allow botting/macroing (like UO/Asheron's Call etc), this would just be built in instead.

Why do you feel so entitled to that?
