Elder Scrolls Online News - The Elder Scrolls Online Reddit has been updated with a first look at housing. Of particular and exciting note is that all players will receive a free apartment via a special quest line and that an upgrade to a larger home can be purchased with in-game gold. Houses are account wide annd new crafting recipes will be added for furniture items that can be sold on the auction house.

Now just give me a garden to plant ingredients for cooking!
Try to be excellent to everyone you meet. You never know what someone else has seen or endured.

Follow me on Twitter if you dare.
I'd spend 80% of my ingame time in this.
And then 20% cooking
I wonder how much they will cost.

It's like EQ2 which is instanced, this game couldn't support open world housing lol.
EQ2 houses are in the cities, at the start of the game everyone is given a room at the inns. This is your first house or flat that you can decorate.
EQ2 housing is the best instanced housing system IMO, ESO would take years to even come close. The customization is mind boggling.
Then you have top housing on some of the most well to do area's and streets in the game.

I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.
Cooking in ESO is just press one button - so your going to stand for hours and press that button?
@Immodium Yes like BDO the exterior of the house will be part of the game world the interior will be instanced. Like a bank in ESO say.
@Balticthunder Yes a house in an Altemer styled city will be Altemer styled. We currently have no idea what we will - or won't - be able to do inside a house though. BDO, Wildstar, EQ2, LotR - we have no idea. The ESO devs will know what those and other games offer however.
@BillMurphy A garden - and a livestock pen - would be in keeping with Skyrim so who knows; maybe an attached barn.
So, did ESO have a successful launch? Yes, yes it did.By Ryan Getchell on April 02, 2014.
**On the radar: http://www.cyberpunk.net/ **
I am trying to mod out Fallout 3 right now and got a massive headache that lasted two days because I was playing in First Person View during the fights only although I should not and initially it was fine and because it was a mild headache I did not realise it until it just would not go away. Today I had to finally take some painkillers for it to go away. So kind of afraid to play although my modding addiction is taking on obsessive qualities.
I love housing and Everquest 2 had one the most robust systems that allowed so much customization and your imagination was the only limit. If ESO does it similarly where the house appears on the main street and such but the interior is instanced it allows for massive number of items and various axis placement. That would be a wonderful thing for people like me that can spend literally hours decorating. A garden would be heavenly.
If they sell some stuff in the cash shop is also alright by me.

Typo maybe, but if there ever is one, my wife and I will play again.
