    Update 8.11. Blacksmithing, bronze and copper equipment, quality system and repair

    The game has been updated to the version 0.8.11. Now is available Blacksmithing, which serves for the manufacture of items made of metal. Now for all equipment, weapons and metal tools, will act the same quality system, which is used also to other skills.
    Added many items made of bronze and copper. Now you can repair items. See below for details.

    Improvements and fixes 0.8.11

    Added skill Blacksmithing, which serves for the manufacture of items made of metal.
    Added a lot of items made of copper and bronze. Iron and steel items will become much more valuable.
    To the initial trees added a new material - poles. They will replace the logs in the initial Carpenter recipes.
    Almost all items with decreasing strength can now be repaired.
    For repairing are using the same requirements as for creating an item, but does not need to know the recipe.
    The number of materials, stamina costs, tools strength and resulting experience depends on the degree of deterioration of the repaired item.
    Fixed "You are too far away," occurring for some players.
    Added missing sounds for the animals, added sound when you receive a new level of skill.
    Fixed problems with the removal of the old dominiums and the creation of new for some players.
    If there is insufficient materials is now displayed their complete list, this really was not enough at repair.
    Changed the damage done to dominiums during dilapidation. Now, after 7 days of waiting, the destruction of periods are as follows:
    Basic dominium 5.2
    Small dominium 7.8
    Medium dominium 20.8
    Large dominium 26.0
    Noble dominium 36.5

    Update 8.12 on the main servers

    The game has been updated to the version 0.8.12. Introduced skill Stonework, expanded opportunities Leatherworking, added the Forge, skill icons, and fixed a series of errors. Read more below

    Improvements and fixes 0.8.12

    Introduced Stone working. It affects the construction of all the stone and brick buildings.
    Installing the Dominium does not require skill, but it needs for preparing materials. We hope this will stimulate trading.
    Skill Leatherworking expanded to level 50, added new materials, reworked recipes.
    Added equipment of tanned skin, but now without a new graphics - artists working on it.
    Now lengthen the tanning process, and passes through the stages of soaking, hair removal, softening and tanning. Added appropriate liquors and explanations to them.
    Removed Glue-impregnated leather, the glue is now to be added into the boiler.
    Scraps of leather is now obtained by cutting strips of leather.
    appeared limestone deposits in the world. Its burning in ovens can be produced lime.
    Grouse in poultry houses now leave bird droppings.
    Added forge. Later it will be used for melting metal products back into ingots.
    Added copper pot. It is smaller in size, but is much faster than clay and spends less fuel.

    Coming soon in the Wild Terra: Cooking. Changes in animal behavior

    Cooking

    Coming soon to the game will be added the new skill - Cooking. Skill will affect the ability to cook high level food, alcohol, and it's quality. Will be added spices that are used in difficult recipes. Food cooked with their use, will be much more effective to satisfy the hunger.

    Will also be added a large number of new products, recipes, tools and machines for cooking: the beehive, wine press, culinary table, all kinds of dishes, cakes, sausages and more.
    Meat of all predators will be merged into a single kind, and its quality is lower than the meat of herbivores.

    Changes in animal behavior

    Reworked behavior of animals that cause damage to the player (wild boar, wolf, bear, fox). Damage inflicted is now leading the animal into a rage, which significantly increases the the speed of his movement. Animals can no longer be hunted over fences. Predators can destroy abandoned buildings, and if the animal can not get to his abuser and ceases to pursue - his health will recover.

    There were also fixes bugs with invulnerable animals, which can not be attacked.

    Completed work on the introduction of leather armor, it's will appear in the next update.

    Update 8.13. Furious predators

    The game has been updated to the version 0.8.13. Big changes have affected the behavior of predators. Be careful, they have become much more dangerous! More details about all innovations below.

    Steam client will update automatically

    Improvements and fixes 0.8.13
    Injured wolf and bear now fall into a state of fury, at which chasing the player far longer and with increased speed of movement.
    Now attacking animals during the movement can destroy dilapidated buildings outside dominiums, and those buildings in the disputed land for the destruction which is not required siege machinery.
    Implemented health recovery of attacking animals, if the fight with them was interrupted by unbreakable obstacles, such as fences or terrain.
    Check the new mechanics and inform us about the noticed changes in their work.
    Added graphics for the new leather armors.
    Updated outdated graphics for some of the items thrown to the ground.
    Large timbered and stone structures (furnaces, warehouses, mills) can now be destroyed only by siege weapons.

    Release date of Wild Terra on Steam. What will be included in the release on Early Access?

    Everything described hereafter - still in development or exists only in the plans. Remember that a lot can change and the dates may be delayed. We will do everything to make changes more better and timely.

    The planned release date in Early Access on Steam - December 1, 2016. For more information about Early Access and why we need it, you can read on our page on Steam.
    We have less than two months, and we most focus on adding innovations conceived by us:

    • Skill: Taming.
      Mechanics of lasso and traps will be reworked, which would make the process of taming more interesting. To the game will be added the stables - construction with an interface to interact with the animals and care for them, display information about it.

    • The skill system. Agriculture, Pottery, Weaving, Gathering
      To the available skills will be added a significant number of new. Also, it may be modified skill system as a whole. We plan to make them leveling most interesting, and create the conditions under which any of the skills will be helpful and important. More information about each of the skills you'll learn later from the column "Coming soon in the Wild Terra".

    • Reworked PvP. Combat skills
      One of the most priority tasks. For many players PvP-component is a key role, and we will try to make it saturated, balanced and exciting. The current system will be COMPLETELY reworked. The changes will affect the mechanics of battle, it's strategy, combat skills and their leveling, art of weapon handling.

    • Custom servers
      Possibility of creating your unique servers with a wide range of parameters. You can customize the game as you want.

    • Achievements
      50 different achievements. From simple quests for beginners, to serious and difficult challenges for veterans of the game.

    • Decoration for Steam
      Badges, trading cards, emoticons and backgrounds for Steam profile on Wild Terra theme.

    'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless. 

    It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

    It is just huge resource waste....'

    Which is to bad, its kind of a fun game. Atleast the free trial they had was enjoyable until someone destroyed the little house I had built.

    Ouch, that is miserable indeed. I do not know how many play through Steam though, I know I don't.

    Still, those numbers are pretty bad and sure as hell not deserved.

    The game has been updated to the version 0.8.14. Increased speed leveling skills. Added Skill Cookery, a huge number of new dishes, beverages, structures. Various notes have become more convenient and informative. Now you can move by using WASD.

    Improvements and fixes 0.8.14

    Significantly increased the rate of growth of skills.
    Added control with WASD keys.
    When you right-click, the character is now hits or shoots at indicated direction.
    Introduced Skill: Cookery. With it, you can cook different kinds of food and beverages.
    Added a huge number of different dishes ranging from eggs and finishing with sausage Bregenwurst.
    Added alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
    Added new buildings - Wine press, Barrel, Rack for drying plants and Cooking table.
    Added new types of cultivated plants, cultivate them from seed.
    Change the state of cultivated plants, now it require more care and can dry out if you stop to care for it.
    In the forest you can now find the honey of wild bees, and in the Godsend can sometimes find salt, which are imported from overseas countries.
    Indicator satiety now also displays all kinds of satiety and filling scales.
    In notes for the food added information about addition of stamina and kind of satiety.
    Sections in the craft and construction is now spoiled by default.
    In the craft recipes now displayed the number of items produced.
    Updated design of annotations when mouse over inventory items, bonuses, effects, indicators, etc.
    When you load or resurrection in someone else's dominium zone is now being tested access to the doors and locks. If you don't have access, then the character will be out of dominium zone.
    Now you can save the point of resurrection on dominium owner beds, if you have access to the doors and locks.
    Now the godsends will disappear after a short time after they were discovered.
    Added sounds while eating and drinking.
    Reworked food value.
    Fixed a bug with the battering ram, due to which it does not achieve to wall if it was directed downward.
    Fixed a bug due to which after catching animals and birds remained bonus that prevents attacks.
    Fixed a bug due to which animation of action sometimes been played with the wrong speed.

    these are testers who receive closed access to the Steam version. 
    99% of players in the game currently does not play through Steam!

    The article clearly states it's not coming to steam until december.  If you check steam, you cannot purchase the game and it says it is not available until december.  As stated above these are testers with special access.  The game won't have normal steam players who purchase the game for months.

    Steam trading cards and rewards

    Work is underway on the Trading Cards Steam. An example of one of these cards you can see above (not final).
    Each card will be showcasing one of the basic elements of the game: hunting, building, farming, battles and more.
    After collecting all cards, you can create the Wild Terra badge for your profile Steam, and get special emoticons and profile backgrounds with Wild Terra theme.

    Steam Achievements

    Added icons for all achievements and localization of their titles and descriptions into 8 languages: English, German, French, Russian, Polish, Dutch, Portuguese-Brazil, Bulgarian.

    Reworking of the combat system. Abilities

    Work is underway to updating the combat system. Some changes have already introduced in the game, the rest of changes will be added piece by piece in the upcoming updates.

    You can move using WASD keys or by clicking on the ground. When you click on the target, you will attack it, or beginmove toward it (when a shortage of distance to hit). Right-click is used to hit/shot without movement. The battle will be held on the non-target system.

    The battle consists of a simple hits and abilities (much more powerful and requires more stamina). By the mechanics of usage, abilities will vary by:

    • used immediately
    • several uses in a row
    • accumulation to enhance the effect
    • passive abilities

    After use, will start the cooldown of ability.

    Effects

    Is planned to introduce a several possible effects on the character:

    • disarming
    • pushing from itself and to themselves
    • knockdown
    • stunning
    • slowing, dash, speed-up
    • prohibitions on the negative effects
    • permanent aura (example: Shield defense of several people), one-time used (example: Inspiration), totems (example: Raising the flag).

    Progression of combat skills

    Experience for offensive skills will be calculated when damaging an living creatures. At that, each enemy has a combat level:
    ferret, crow - 1. grouse - 3. hare - 5. fox - 10. deer - 15. boar - 20. wolf - 30. bear - 45.
    player - 10 (to be able raise the level up to 15, fighting with each other)

    Hang a Jack-o'-lantern on the Unholy trees to fight back the witches. Be careful, evil will not allow to dispel the darkness without resistance!

    The most distinguished heroes can receive seeds of Home unholy tree for decorating their possessions.

    During several days you can free acquainted with the innovations of the coming update 8.17. The main changes will affect on the combat system.
    9 new mastery skills of various types of weapons and armors. Added critical hits, parry, dodge and block. Reworked damage system. Updated the screen of servers selection. At destruction containers, all contents is now falling to the ground. Also trees graphics has been updated.

    Major Update 8.17 and 2 New Servers. Reworked combat system
    * 9 new skills . Mastery of various types of weapons and armors;
    * New combat parameters. Critical hits, parry, dodge and block;
    * New system of dealing damage. Calculated body part that received a blow, and armor that was equip on this part;
    * New server selection screen. Displays a news, number of players, search on servers.
