My thoughts exactly. I REALLY thought Trion had a shot at a major hit......and they just continued to blow it at every opportunity. Bet they are a tad jealous ATM...........BDO just does everything better........starting from no sub, thru combat and add in life skills......and we will NOT even go into the land issues......
I recently went back for a second look at A/A as i was told land was now plentiful........NOT!
Why would any game developer/publisher make a game SO dependent on land, and then make it so the average player can't get it? They might as well have said were making a game and were gonna limit the server pops to a fixed number......
No reasonably serious player can play without a large plot.
Compared to BDO where anyone can have multiple houses and farm pretty much anywhere they choose...

I just don't get it........
Trion is just the publisher, they can't just make changes to the game without them being pushed from the parent company or DEVELOPER XLgames. People need to understand this, Trion does not steer the ship as to the direction AA takes. Get it through your skulls.
If you want a new idea, go read an old book.
In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.
Trion steers the publishing decisions. Most of the issues surrounding Arche Age in the west revolves around the publishing decisions. If you are interested in PVP, then avoid BDO. BDO does indeed have subpar PVP. Its a great game and I prefer it, but it's clear to see the PVP has issues.
Both have their flaws. But BDO would get it on this one, more solid MMO overall.
In terms of future of the game itself as well goes for BDO, it went through its share of drama but as long it keeps its playerbase stable it should continue getting major content expansions ported.
It's really the first game in a LONG time that has the immersion factor for me. I can log in......check my clock, and wonder where those 4 hours really went! And I never even hunted.........!
