this game worth getting?

is it? I dont wanna hear all the bugs in it, and I dont care about graphics

If I wasnt a crafter type, would I still enjoy this?

I heard their are barely any monsters when running, you can run for awhile before finding any, is this true?

how is the combat for melee's? If i play im gonna play as a dragon, how are they?

Whats your opinion on the good AND bad things in horizons?

I play as a half-giant, but I'm considering creating a dragon character.  I think that dragon players will have a totally different gaming experience on this game than the biped races, as the dragon's goal besides leveling is to mature and learn to fly, among other things.

Honestly the combat system is a bit like SWG.  You have the basic point, click, and attack, but you also gain other abilities as you level that you can associate with a hotkey and utilize in the game.  On the good side is that all mobs and resources spawn fairly quickly so even if your server is full, you can still play the game without having to sit and wait for stuff to spawn (which is one of my gripes about FFXI).  I personally haven't seen any lack of monsters to kill.

The biggest plus in this game is the crafting system.  It is very expansive and is alot more involved than any other MMORPG.  I personally feel crafting time is a good break from killing maggots and gruoks, and just about everything from both crafting and loot from combat can be traded in at the pawn broker or cosigner for quick cash.

My only gripe about this game is the lag, but that can be easily adjusted by changing your settings.  Sometimes you have to wait for the entire screen to redraw, and sometimes you have to wait a minute or two just to see a certain NPC.  I think this will get fixed fairly soon, as customer service is 100% better than any SOE game.

This game, like any game, is what you make of it.  Personally I like soloing and keeping to myself most of the time, so I find this game more entertaining than FFXI, which made you group, but that's just my two cents...

lol I had a hard time finding zombies for the zombie hand quest. 20 [20!] people were camped at the blighted farm on Trimiss waiting for them to respawn.

On dragons, they are a blast to group with. Their breath attacks and massive damage tail swipes really help groups. They tank nicely as well.

On crafting, There is NOONE [!!!!!!] on Dawn Shard that can make iron weapons [lvl 20] and pretty much everyone on the servers is gimp...lol...Im not joking...

Well, not gimp, but not at 100%. I bet noone can take monsters their own adventure level yet. I always hunt 1 to 2 levels lower.

Unlike rumors say, HZ doesnt force you to group. You may want a group to help you fight those 60+ zombies you need to kill for those 10 zombie hands so it will go faster but anyone can solo nicely. Clerics are the only class somewhat gimped to soloing. They lack tanking and has anyone noticed heal spells are a bit weak?

On Lag, It takes about X* minutes for the whole island of Trismuss to load but there aren't many lag pockets anymore and you shouldnt worry about the lag too much.

Hard Core, it's normal in this game for you to not be able to hunt mobs at your level.  You pretty much start out gimped, so everyone's playing on the same levels.

I'm not sure why this design decision was made, but that's the way it's been since beta 2.
