Imagine yourself as a lone explorer in a limitless world of elemental magic that's teeming with mythical creatures. In Dark and Light, the upcoming multiplayer survival title from Snail Games, players will encounter a wide variety of creatures - both magical and magnificent. In previous overviews, players have seen a few glimpses of the creatures that inhabit the game's world, but today Snail Games provides a deeper look into the menagerie of fantastical beasts.

    All we need now is some game play bids but yes I've been waiting years for this and it's sounding pretty epic.

    The news from 2P.com was posted via a Chinese version of the same dev diary that they translated for their information. It was great to see, but we held off newsing it yesterday because we have the English language exclusive to our site from Snail Games America, hence its supposed reposting.

    Screens look really cool. Still waiting for a gameplay vid though. And for something that's supposed to be coming to early access within the next month or so, you'd think they would have something more to show.

    I'd really like to see it in action too! All the beauty in the world will be lost on me, an admitted graphics snob, if the animations are clunky and character models don't match the bestiary.

    This game just looks too good.

    Snail you could really have a winner with Dark And Light. Lets hope that when ever you decide to release video that it impresses.

    The screenshots are good looking.

    But you can't play screenshots. I hope they'll give us good dose of gameplay videos before launching their early access.

    Yeah am an avid supporter even my forum name came from this game but 'show us some freaking game play vids already'

    That taming systems sound epic but need to see it working. 40.000 square kilometer world and all full of mystery lol. Man I don't want to get hopes up but they really need to show something before early access. 

    How about a free 24 hour trail then early access.

    Sounds great, now if they can only share some actual game play. I'm not sure why they are reticent to do this.

    Maybe it's just a marketing thing to work people up into a frenzy.

    Fast food chains make food look better than what they really are. This is very concerning to have no real gameplay footage for something that was announced so long ago and is expected to go into early access in give or take a month. The longer the wait, the worse it makes it look imo.

    This wasn't anouced that long ago, remember they have redone the engine. I've seen game play from the 2012 version so I wouldn't say it's strange. 

    This is not the 2007 version or the 2012 version.

    This is not the 2007 version or the 2012 version. 
    It was already announced for a few months, so in the gaming industry without at least a single gameplay trailer, that's a while. If they were proud of the supposed revamping they've done, they'd show actual gameplay, not those 2 second gifs. For all we know, that could be cinematic footage.

    Do we still believe anything worth having can be free?  They probably can't show video until they replace the VWorldTerrain technology with something else or possibly pay for it if that is still pending.

    I hope they take their time and make a great game. Love what I'm seeing so far. If the game play turns out not so good it's no skin of my ass. ;)

    My understanding is, its to be an MMORPG meets survival game.

    To me that says virtual world, at least I can hope ;)

    That's been done for years now (after Snail got full rights to the game). It's on Unreal Engine 4, which is why some assets look familiar to people when they mention ARK.

    Looks good, I am keeping my eye on this one but will not judge this game until it out.
