oh i hope its more like 400-499. that would mean its on par or better with the current consoles spec wise. if its lower, then we have another nintendo pile of shit.

We suspect the processing performance will be lower than the Sony PlayStation or the Microsoft Xbox. NVDA’s expertise in providing high-performance graphics should help boost gameplay as well as demand for the hybrid console. http://blogs.barrons.com/techtraderdaily/2016/10/24/nvidia-surges-jefferies-sees-370m-per-year-in-nintendos-switch/ Tbh I really dont care, xbone and ps4 are weak anyway.. For graphics I go pc.. For exclusives I go console and only fun exclusive for me are nintendo titles :) And zelda/mario etc dont need special graphics.. Just cartoon style!

That's a very bad way to look at it. They have hit consoles and miss consoles. Their Wii was not a very powerful console but it sold the most units out of that generation beating out the PS3 and the 360. I wouldn't call that a piece of shit. Wii U on the other hand did awful, but I think it's a relatively fun console to play. You don't NEED power to have a good console, you NEED good games. You could go make the most powerful machine ever but if it didn't have anything to play what the hell would the point be. They have alot of 3rd party developers on board with the switch, unlike the wii u. So I can see it doing pretty well.

It's basically the best of the 3DS and the Wii U, and if 3rd Party's really do support it that means its architecture is likely easy to develop for when compared to the previous consoles. It's quite possible that it's closer to PS4 and XB1 than we'd think too. I'm optimistic. I'd LOVE a portable Skyrim come March.

the wii did out sell them by about 17million, but i dont feel that number means much. they basically sold the new gimmick and had no real titles outside the usual zelda and mario. to be honest, zelda just flat out sucked. i read awhile back the machine sold well but wasnt used nearly as much as the other two. like me for example, i had all 3 but never played the wii cus there were no games for it any good. i kept the piece of crap hoping something would release worth it. did the same for the wii u. they are kid machines. no sports games. no shooters (dont bring up splatoon). no adult games. nintendo was king. WAS. now they cant get this "we wanna be different" crap out of their heads. im hoping this console will get all the games (destiny, madden, CoD, battlefield, final fantasy, etc.). if not, then its just another nintendo gimmicky PoS.

i wanna try the new zelda. would prefer it not to be the cell shade type. but i feel on the switch, it might be good.

Come on, there is no reason to buy this beyond nostalgia.  Nintendo is so far behind the 8 ball it is pathetic.  Just look at the Wii, there are only a few decent games for it and this platform will not change that.  Far better off just buying one of the newer consoles from Sony or Microsoft.

Unless you like Nintendo IP. And for many, that's reason enough (myself included).

I am more excited for this than either the next Playstation or Xbox Scorpio. It seems like I haven't even had my PS4 that long and there is already a new one coming out. The truth is I didn't even get that much joy out of the current PS4. And now a new one? With better graphics? Who cares! Current gen machine's graphics are awesome already. I mean how damn good do we actually need our graphics. 8-core processors be damned, just give me some good old Nintendo quality games.

Nah. Who doesn't love a Super Mario game? .... Mario Kart? Zelda? Metroid? Pokemon? This list goes on and on. Say what you want about Nintendo, but their IPs make it well worth it.

Yes. . or your wife does.  I go back and forth on spending on one game for the PC I already have and we buy each new nintendo console so she can play Mario. . . Mario. . the $300 game.  We did actually end up playing Mario Kart together as well though so that was fun. . her hitting me when I won etc.  Good times.

True.  I will keep other gaming on the PC and get a console that actually provides a different experience.

Isn't Switch sporting NVIDIA Tegra graphics? I know PS4 and XBO are outdated but at least they are using PC GPUs. Tegra is a mobile chip and i don't really expect it to do any miracles. Even in the trailer when the guy is playing Zelda and Link is standing in front of a Giant dude the low FPS is very noticeable in that specific part.

I'm looking forward to the Switch and its exclusive games but my expectations for the hardware itself are almost as low as any cellphone/tablet that play games.

I expect to be paying nothing more than $299 too. Less would be even better, specially if the 720p rumors coming from Eurogamer end up being true.

Anything that takes place past Rogue One is in my "Who Cares" column.  I only have so much hype to go around.

Not to mention, all this will be is another new way to play the next Mario Kart and Zelda games.  Nintendo hasn't done anything original outside of hardware in decades.

Splatoon. Too bad is multiplayer only.

I really enjoying playing on my tablet.  I think the Android market is very interesting. Considering this fills the same type of gaming for me. This will be the first time i'm interested in a nintendo console since the N64.

Try playing your laptop on a bus or on the train. I think there is a market for this. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I think it has its own niche that is actually quite big. I know I will get it just for the few games Nintendo produces.

For on the way, I rather have the switch, laptop isnt fit for in a bus, or on the move, walking in the parpark.

Cant wait to see ppl staring and walking to switch instead of mobile..  :pleased:

Also, just to put it into perscpective, instead trying to make their own locked tablet they should just focus on releasing their games on iOS/Android and see them explode like Pokemon Go...
