In one of those "OOPS" moments, someone hit the "on" button for the Blizzard Shop and leaked a pair of interesting images ahead of this weekend's Blizzcon 2016 which were rapidly pulled but not before being Reddited! In the first, the "secret-not-secret" Sombra Overwatch character was shown. In the other, a new concept art piece of a male and female Necromancer showed up, fueling some type of announcement at Blizzcon of: 1) a new D3 class with expansion; 2) a remaster of D2; or 3) Diablo 4.

    Could be today. Probably not though lol.

    As one redditor said, I'm looking forward to Sombra being reteased today (as opposed to "released").

    Am I the only one that think Diablo 2s necromancer sounds a bit confusing? I was wondering why they would release a new class to a 15 year old game when I clicked the link. :D

    It is 99pct of the time the second one,

    "leaking" gives a lot more publicity and for free than saying "hey guys heres some new art of upcoming content" also the word leaked is a great word for a good clickbait title.. I do it myself when it says LEAKED! I'm more inclined to click that link even when I know the leaked part is bullshit.

    By the look of that armor, It's a D3 necro....Hmm, I wonder what sort of expansion they could even make that would bring me back. I was hoping for a whole new game on a new engine. Still, Only time will tell.

    A necro expansion for D3 seems kinda... odd.  Don't necro and witch doctor already kind of overlap?  (although I"d buy a D3 expansion with a necro anyways, even though it'd make more sense to just... fix and enhance the witch doctor, I think)

    I do not think it was an oops moment at all or a leak .. but a hype maneuver. A "Leak" this close .. I do not think so ..

    'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless. 

    It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

    It is just huge resource waste....'

    We have been told there is a shortage of qualified STEM personnel. This is just another example of that. The answer to the STEM shortage is not pushing idiots who should have been business majors or art history majors into STEM fields. The answer is expanding the nerd population, see Big Bang Theory.

    i agree that this was most likely an intentional leak.

    the best way to know is to look at what the consequences are and timing - did the leak have a negative effect as in players losing interest or positive effect as in players being more interested and more likely to pay for an upcoming Blizzcon possibly?

    I don't think she counts as a secret though. Since Blizz did that whole ARG for her. That said her image is great and gives some hints to what her kit might be.
