The fantastic world of hunters and beasts imagined by Andrzej Sapkowski and popularized in the series of Witcher video games by CD Projekt Red has a new collectible card game on the horizon - Gwent. Recently, the CCG entered closed beta. Rob spent a few hours playing over the past week. These are his first impressions.

I would hope that is coming next. As with most CCG's they seem more at home on mobile than they do console's.

So if u dont enjoy pvp u can always play this game for cool story
For one these TCG's need to improve on a simple "BOARD"it is too boring and too simple and offers nothing to the skill or thinking of the game.Duelyst added a different twist but still not good enough and they struggled to get out proper cards to combat ranged so ended up just like Blizzard, constantly nerfing cards.
Also it sure seems apparent watching chat talk about HS cards that they get all giddy over something as simple as a GOLDEN card,so yeah i guess you need some simple gimmicks to attract players.
Even still, you need to really one up HS by a lot because Blizzard is a popular brand that has a massive following, you cannot simply be ...another player.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
There is another tcg that i played for a bit that uses a sort of Campaign and really it got boring fast and did little to help the game.Bottom line is your never going to add any excitement to the game with a plain board.

Maaaybe, but honestly I have *NEVER* seen you be positive, hopeful, or even realistic about a game's future. You focus on the perceived negatives and run with it.. FFXI could not have been so amazing that it ruined every other game for you, could it have been?
