    Are you serious?

Who would think that AAA games would not come to Playstation VR?

This is one app where VR really makes sense to me.  Always been a big racing sim fan, so I would be keen to try this out sometime.    Mainly to test my tolerance of VR and to see how my body reacts to it.

The nice thing is you can do your race and then stop.   Then throw it back on and race again.   Playing an MMO or a game of that nature,  I don't think I could tolerate it for any length of time, which isn't a deal breaker but would probably interrupt the flow of the game.

I would probably end up playing a majority of that type of game on a screen and then keep the VR in reserve for the really cool parts.

In any case it is going to be price point that gets me started.   So that probably means one of the console versions for sure.

it'll probably be one of the few titles truly worthy of a set, but unfortunately, it doesn't justify the cost of one yet.

PS4 Pro releases on Nov 10.

Better VR titles are coming but I agree that right now it does not justify the cost.

Dude, seriously. No one has ever doubted that Sony would use its muscle to prop-up ANY hardware they release. All of the "killer game" comments were and still are about PC-based VR.

And no, car racing is not my thing either... still waiting for that mythical AAA release that is better with VR than without it.

I am telling you point blank on these forums I read people saying AAA titles for VR is never going to happen.

In fact as early as just last week these statements were made 'VR is not going to happen unless some major titles get released'

so...who exactly says that and at the same time feels strongly that there will not be major titles released?

Well that is neither wrong nor is it anything that Sony didn't already know from many years of experience introducing their various PS iterations: gaming HW success depends on major games that you can play on it. It's why no one releases a new console without a large stable of "coming soon" titles shown at the announcement event.

There are not enough people nerdy enough to buy gaming HW just because it's cool or a technological achievement. For gaming HW to become a success it needs those major titles, even better, it needs exclusives.

The statement you paraphrased is saying just that.

This is one game....  ONE.. and again.. I reiterate.. its not worth buying the set for... so AAA titles need to be better, more frequent.. and for your sake.. not on console.  Or else your little rift party is over.

Still got my other normal PS4 which I'll give to my little brother.

    its rather simple:

Statement: 'VR needs to have a top tier game or it will fail'
Question: 'does this game fill that requirement'?

if not then dosent the orginal assertion need to be modified?

Its your money..  people spend money on porcelain clowns too,  doesn't mean that it's where the smart money is at.  People bought PSVR before this game was set to released, and even if it's on its way out, people will still buy it until its discontinued.

The fact of the matter is,  this is one game... and racing games aren't something that everyone enjoy, so again, I say,  this is a one off on the new console system that was already slated as being the savior of VR.

I will take that as your fear to answer the question directly which is what I had assumed.

anyway later dont want to get into a fight and have the mods come in but I also want to be truthful in what I think

Theres no fight, reread what I wrote (since we both know you don't read responses anyways) and then there wouldn't be a need for responses similar to the last one.
