I know this game is an mmo... is there any player killing or owning.

Basically, no. There are a couple of PvP sidegames (Ballista and Brenner), with, I understand, a couple more planned for the new expansion, but "owning" and PKing the way you're probably thinking of it, no. In regular play you cannot attack other players or target them with harmful abilities or spells.
