Lately, only mobile games I've been playing are Titan Brawl and Telltale games.
Try to be excellent to everyone you meet. You never know what someone else has seen or endured.
My Review Manifesto
Follow me on Twitter if you dare.
However I will correct Angry Joe on one thing though, he looked at the price of a 5 star legendary character (basically 10 star legendary) a 5 star legendary character is the highest most time consuming achievement currently in the game, it SHOULD be cost prohibitive. Think WoW vanilla and thunderfury, what price tag would you put on that for a player who just started playing 30 minutes ago? See what I'm saying here?
Meanwhile he ignored the Bane for $1.99.
I agree. Before I add my 2 cents, I'll go ahead and re-iterate how much I hate Angry Joe. So I am biased. However, remember that Angry Joe gets paid to be angry and have angry reviews, so I don't think his reviews are objective at all.
Personally, I've been playing this game for like a week or two now. It's a grinder, make no mistake. However, they do have sales on 5* heroes. For 8000 "shards" or whatever, I can get a full legendary Wonder Woman right now. So for $100 I could get 3, over time, over separate sales. If I wanted to completely forego all of the actual game playing and natural progression.
Now!!! at 8000 shards, I should be able to get a new legendary hero every couple months for free. Also, they give away hero fragments on a monthly basis as login bonuses. So by the end of this month I should have a 4* Harley Quinn. If I make sure I log in every day, then in 2 months I should have all the shards I need to buy a legendary.
That's effectively the MO of these games. He's talking about animations like they even matter. Most of the time people aren't manually fighting anyway. They just click the little button to do it automatically so they don't need to waste their time on playing the actual game. I know I do. It's a game I can log in, get my daily reward and, effectively, finish off all my daily activities in on shitting. It's pretty shallow, but there are few which aren't. At least it doesn't eat my time like some others out there (looking at you summoners war and Iron Maiden!!)

The number of games out there that actually give you something for much less actual money, and don't force you to spend months grinding in order to get a single character, are numerous, so why waste months on a game that probably will be shuttered long before you get anything out of it.
It's actually funny that this is the sentiment, because it's, in essence, exactly what MMORPGs do. However, I'd say that these mobile games actually do it to a much lesser degree. As I said, I can quite easily finish what I need to do on a daily basis in 15-20 minutes, where dailies in an MMORPG take me hours. To that end, I'm not sure which provides me with more or less value. Either way, both will, at some point or another, make you question whether there was something more productive you could have been doing with your time and, in most cases, you will undoubtedly be able to answer that question with a resounding "Yes!"
