Trail and CD key - What am i missing ?

Good Morning,

wanted to test Horizons, got the trial download with promotionscode.

Installed the client, desktopicon : Doubleclick, took me to their website to sign up.

Thing is, the trial account steps are documentated zilch.

You agree to the EULA (Step 1), then fill in some personal data.
At a point a CD-KEY is required, but this field is not accepting the promocode, it is awaiting a 12-digit code, which i dont have since ive downloaded the trial client.

What am i missing ?

Is this company actually wondering that just a few peeps are trying out their game when the documentation on the trial is that poor that you cant even get into the game ?

    Ok, i figured it:

    Only the US site is leading you through the right steps, the european sign-up page isnt.
    The US site is offering you to enter the promokey, the european site not.

    But now they have a database error (Fatal Error 823), so you cant sign up atm.

    What is this all about ?
    · The promo keys not working
    · The description of the needes steps for trials are not good documentated
    · The eruopean site (link from mainpage) leads to a message like:
    "No web site is configured at this address." (no joke)

    and so on and so on and so on ....

    Is this company actually operating their product the needed way ?
    Or is it really dying like you read here so often?

    You read on their pages about a "gremlin" which damaged their databases on 30. march, now (2 days later) they again have problems with the database.

    No good impression of this company...


    Facing all the above problems..i give up and end my "trial journey" here, what i found sad cause the game looked nice from what i saw/read - but obv. the company is not able/willing to offer a flawless experience.

    Their loss.....

    The European shard is owned and maintained by a completely different company than the US shards. If you have a US key, you need to sign up on the US shard.

    I'd highly suggest it in any case as the EU shards haven't been updated in some time, you can't currently create new characters on them, they don't have the new content, the list goes on and on....

    GN and TG are separate companies...

    The 'gremlin' was an issue with the new software used on the official furums. It was nothing game-related. However, it sounds like you're trying to set up to play on Unity. Asking for a flawless experience from any game is not very realistic to begin with, but when dealing with GN you might as well wish for the Lady of the Lake to pop out of your bathtub, hand you Excalibur, and proclaim you Soverign of all England.
