How much (if at all) a year on average do you buy on cash shops (only for MMOs)?

Just curious to see how much people spend on average. Or if people here even spend money.

On average, I probably spend around 100 dollars a year on cash shops. So less a year than a yearly sub for a typical pay to play MMO. In BDO, I bought a couple costumes (one for my Witch, other for my Ranger), and GW2 I bought Hearts of Iron off their cash shop (though its more of an expansion than an actual cash shop item).

Most of my money goes to singleplayer/multiplayer games though, which get a bigger spike during black friday and steam christmas sales. I buy quite a lot during christmas sales on steam, averaging out to be almost double the amount on cash shops, even with the cheaper sale prices. With that said, that does vary, because last year I spent very little on steam sales and spent a bit more on cash shops (150 or so total last year in USD)

Lets just say a lot, when I was playing ArcheAge around $200 a month not including subscriptions every 6 months of about $400...

Too bad they ruined it I ended up making some very happy giving it all away :3.

Maybe $20 - $40  for more inventory space.

The only two MMORPG's I play anymore are ESO (mainly) and SWTOR (every so often). if I want anything I just sub. IN turn I use the points that come with it for any cash shop  purchases. I've spent about 60-70 on eso this year. (subbed when I felt like doing DLC.) Only subbed to TOR twice.

Nothing but the free store cash I get every month from subbing(I play both ESO and SWTOR).

Total lifetime cash shop spend: £0.00

A subscription is fine for me.

Let's just say that most companies are lucky if I spend $5 on their stupid shit. I paid $25 (came to like $33 something when the money was translated from American to Canadian) for a race change in WoW recently, and that's the most money I've used in a cash shop in years.

MMOs? 0, i've never bought anything from Cash Shop in MMOs, i have subbed to WoW before, but that was years ago.

I do buy cosmetic stuff from League of Legends sometimes, i've probably spent around $100, maybe a bit more, but that's all, i prefer subs or buy to play, Cash Shops are cancer.

Gaming is my primary hobby and I don't mind spending a few dollars here and there if that will enrich my experience. The most money I have spent, has been in Path of Exile. That game is too good and it is my way to support those hard working devs.

Im in the minority but I prefer cash shops over sub because Im not forced to spend in a cash shop, but with a sub you have no choice.

30 - 50.  The funny thing is that it isnt to buy cool stuff.  I'm a crafting hoarder.  it hurts my soul to throw even the cheapest crafting mats away.  So my money usially goes to inventory space upgrades.

Not a damn thing. I man up and sub.  ;)

The last time I paid a sub for a game was for Fallen Earth, which was what? Six years ago? Since then I've only played B2P or F2P games and mostly just buy a bit of extra inventory space as and when needed. Probably $10 to $30 for each game in the first month or two. Nothing after that. Paying a sub is a mug's game when hardly any games need it any more.

    Roughly $120-150. Nothing significant...

Nothing for quite a few years, can't recall how far back anymore.

I think bad experiences with EE and some early WOW clone taught me to avoid them like the plague.

I did buy a PLEX to sell in game when I returned to EVE as I was trying to replicate the new player experience and started a fresh account without activating any of my others.

Every third month I enjoy a game I buy something for $20-30 or so. Usually bank spaces, character slots or novelty armor, nothing that really affect the gameplay. It is just the principles, if I enjoyed something for 3 months it is good enough to give the devs something in return.

Sadly, few F2P games are good enough to hook me 3 months.

This is about what I do. If I'm enjoying a game I try to see if there is something that is of interest in the cash shop.

    Lets's see.

$1500 or more on World of Tanks over the course of five years.
$1000 or so on iRacing buying all of the cars and road tracks that I want to drive.
$200 total on EVE Online buying PLEX when they're at ridiculously low prices.
$100 or so total on Age of Conan buying things like teleport scrolls and vanity armor.
$200 or so on guns and vanity armor in Planetside 2.
$300 or probably more on premium Mechs in Mechwarrior Online.
$70 total on Overwatch buying loot boxes.

On average I'd say I spend somewhere around $200 per year split up between different games.

SWToR Cash shop over the years between my wife's account and mine. Maybe $100 bucks, but we sub so we get most items for free from the cash shop. I use is monthly. GW2, between my wife's account and mine. Maybe $300 bucks or so over 2 years. I would not say we are heavy users but if the price is fair I will drop some cash.

BD has me not even trying the game because their cash shop looks to heavy handed to me.

Recently i havent been playing enough mmorpgs to justify spending on the cash shop. When i do spend money i spend about the same i would spend on a sub based mmo a month. THe best  part is, i dont get kicked out of the game if for any reason i cant/don't pay in one month.

GW2 and Warframe are the only exceptions where i spend more than 15 a month but still it is not every month. And i only spend in Warframe when i get 50-75% off as login reward on PC or a good discount on PS4.

I havent spent on GW2 recently since im not actively playing at the moment but i buy extra character/bank/bag slots whenever i need them and the occasional skin like Belinda's Katana skin <3
