Final Fantasy XV development originally began in 2006, under the name Final Fantasy XIII Versus. It was going to be a side-entry in the series, not a main installment because its tone was going to be a darker one than the main series allowed. Development was troubled though, and eventually the game shifted to the PS4 and Xbox One and became a full-on entry in the Final Fantasy main series. After all the waiting, is the tale of Noctis and Lunafreya a worthy entry to the Final Fantasy canon?

Adamantoise = 72 hours, and he's optional. Like an epic side quest.

Very curious about how it turns out. FFXIII was extremely hyped, and both of them was unplayable garbage, in my opinion. This one looks good, though your comment "In some ways FFXV feels like the most masculine-focused Final Fantasy yet" really made me laugh - I know you meant the absence of females in the main party, but FF males are usually VERY feminine, and this game is no exception.
I think Gladiolus is the exception to that in this game, however. Out of the four, he's probably the only really masculine one. He's probably one of very few FF men with facial hair--at least as far as the main characters go. However, yeah, I do agree that a -lot- of final fantasy males are feminine. I'm not sure I'd describe Noctis as feminine, but from what I've seen he doesn't seem overtly masculine, either. Ignis comes off as fairly feminine because of his slender build and love for cooking. And Prompto.. Well, he just seems feminine in general. Other feminine FF men... Tidus, Hope, Vahn, Zidane, possibly Zack. I'm not terribly familiar with most of the main characters before X--I know a lot of them, but haven't played their games enough to really speak on their personality and.. feminine/masculine levels. But it's definitely a trend.
I'm picking it up tomorrow myself, and I hope it can live up to the hype, because I don't wanna see Square crash and burn if it totally flops. And of course, I wanna be paying for a good game. I enjoyed the demos, so hopefully I'll enjoy the full game as well.
EDIT: Playing the game now, it plays much better than the demos, im loving it so far.
its like a hour or 2 at most

Except someone just did it in 50 minutes..... Not than I'm complaining, though. A 72-hour boss battle just seems like overkill to me. Thankfully, it appears that the battle happens outside of the main story line, so you can complete the game without completing this battle.
