Customization of the looks is pretty generic, its like age of conan, but its alright not as good as skyrim. As far as the skills go there are many choices, most people end up being the same so they don't suck at pvp or bosses.

It got boring for me at lvl 20, its just going from quest hub to quest hub leveling. The stories are ok, not as good as SWTOR, and since there are a bunch of people running around it brakes any kind of immersion you try to have. It tries to tell the story you are the one to save the world, but then you see 100 other people doing the same thing as you. I never got to pvp but when i played most people said it wasn't very good.

It is worse than skyrim, morrowind, oblvion, as far as a RPG goes. It doesn't do the MMO very well, due to the fact your literally grouped with the whole world, at all times, so basically you walk up to try to kill something and there are 5-20 people killing the same thing, so the battles are stupid as hell, because all you do is hit one button. The combat is basically tab target, but instead of tab you point your mouse cursor at it.

I think I put around 60 hours into, before i got bored. But I like more complex mmos, so my tastes for a long term mmo are like Uncharted waters online or eve, which i prolly played over 1500 hours. I like Skyrim better as far as a rpg I dumped 1200 into that. So all I can say is if you played all the RPG elder scrolls you will get bored.

The the amount of builds you can have are crazy and of course some are better than others. But you really can play how you like and make progress ( Vet dungeons may require fine tuning ). As far as looks I feel the game is top notch. Plenty of armor styles available , being able to mix Heavy , Light , Medium for a different look is great and of course you can dye your gear as well.

Tons of players especially after the One Tamriel update.

I have played since beta and have had fun throughout but I would have to say the funnest for me has been recently. No idea how many hours I have but I would guess a good amount.

Then we can look forward to Housing and Vvardenfel ( Morrowind ) in the future!

Builds: as @hatefulpeace and @SlyLok say you do what you want. Any character can wield any weapon and wear any combination of gear. Whilst you do choose a "class" the class specific abilities have there equivalent in the weapon skill lines; so once developed all classes can tank, deal damage and heal.

I don't agree that everyone has the same build. Especially as characters will be developing skills for months and months. And even then you are unlikely to have legendary gear. (Note: level 50 is not the end of character development).

Customization is fine imo; characters can wear outfits that cover their gear if they want. A matter of personal taste however - check out some vids / streams.

    How is the playerbase?

The playerbase. The game uses megaservers with the population being split 6 ways between PC/PS4/XB1 in EU/US. Last sales announcement - over 7M. Last word on split by Zen equally so 33% - with some suggestions that consoles have maybe 35% and PC 25%.  If only 10% of folks are playing that about 100k per device per region.

Does it keep you hooked or its just like end game gets boring and nothing much left to do?

I appreciate @hatefulpeace comments but they are incomplete - and not because he/she only put 60 hours into the game. The game other facets over and above that described (which can indeed be chaotic (not always) but also  fun)

    1. There are some very strong solo stories. The ones I liked best were the main story and that for the Mages Guild but there are others. These are non trivial and play out in solo instances. So strict solo stuff. Note: prior to the recent patch these stories were unlocked 1 stage at a time every 5 levels

    2. In each zone there are "landscape quests" and a story driven quest - part of an overarching story and linked to the main story. These quests are not "mmo quests that can be done solo". They draw on the story driven heritage of ES games. They can be done solo, or will play out co-operatively or you could even group. You might get what @hatefulpeace describes.

    3. There are public dungeons. These will be "impossible" hard to do solo at low level; hard to do at sub-CP160 solo; easier if you are CP160 and above in decent gear. You will want others in the dungeons. You could also group.

    4. There are group dungeons. 4 player. Grouping is a must. There is a hard mode as well!

    5. There are "fixed time" PvP campaigns; fixed maximum player numbers. Open to all early on. PvP only.

    6. There are trials - and crafting. Also world bosses (some can be solo'd if high level most not) and dolmans

    7. DLCs introduced Dark Brotherhood based quests (and story), Thieve's Guild based quests (and story). (Sneaking.) And Imperial City a mixed PvE / PvP region - so different again.

There is no "end game zone". And with the One Tamriel patch a) all mobs are CP160 and b) for "level based" resources what you find are the same in any zone (50% chance the quality ofresource you find reflects your level, 50% that it reflects your craft skill).

    Will it get you hooked?

You can get the base game for sub-$20.

And if you only do the (solo) main story, fighters and mage guild quest lines I doubt you will be disappointed.

Beyond that there are well over 6 months worth of serious - quest heavy - play. (Bigger than Skyrim). At some point you will get bored but - with no sub required - you can take a break and come back. Or maybe go and participate in a PvP campaign.

The Dark Botherhood, Thieve's Guild and mixed PvP/PvE parts need the DLC packs - included with the Gold edition (along with a new area) or can be added later as a 4 DLC pack.

Edit: And if you have played other ES titles there will be memories. The first dolman; freeing a city from werewolves; the lay-out of cities - one of the early Dark Brotherhood quests that told me to go find someone; when I got to right city I "knew" where they would be. The snow of Skyrim. The herbs. Lots.

I would jump right into it, but these animations...

Sometimes it's the little things that you just can't get over.

I had a good amount of fun with the game, but the inventory management is a nightmare if you enjoy crafting.  But I've heard you get a bottomless storage for crafting reagents if you have a subscription, so if I ever return it'll be with a sub.
Nod. There are add-ons for inventory management. Storage though - yeah.

This was the deal breaker for me, as well.

bestest mmorpg ever, now!  PvP raiding is awesome in big groups... and they make it SO easy with the auto invite add ons.  Get to Cryodiil and pvp at lvl 10 and have a blast with lots of peepz... then take breaks by going back to pve to let your nerves settle.  One Tamriel is awesome!

    Sz  :)

I've been playing since the first closed Beta. Liked it enough to pre-order and been playing since.

Character customization is decent, but nothing spectacular. I've always been able to make a character I liked to look at. The outfits don't have the appearance of bulk to them like some games, but there are ALOT of styles to choose from.

The player base is strong. With the release of One Tamriel there are people everywhere.

There are a million quests to do, sky shard hunting, lorebook hunting, collecting, crafting, rifts to close, world bosses to fight, treasure chests to find, dueling in PvE areas, and a couple of BIG PvP zones.
And that doesn't cover all of it.

    Hope this helps.

it is an ok mmo, combat is ok, crafting is ok, Pvp sucks, as one person said you spend most of your time trying to find the PvP battles LOL-If you really want a good complete mmo I suggest you try EVE-if you want a better story driven lite mmo I suggest you try SWTOR-if you don't mind kind of sleepy combat but good story and good crafting try ff14-don't bother with their free trial as it is kind of useless

Best AAA MMO on the market. I've peen playing  the same character for 2+ years and I'm still trying new skills and abilities and gear. Best character building hands down.

No you cannot.  There is a 50 player minimum for a guild to have a guild store.  This actually makes sense however.  Not only do you sell to other players in your guild, but you can hire a npc in a city to allow everyone to purchase from your guild store.

I recommend joining a large trading guild, or two even.  You have many more purchasers for your wares this way and you can be a member of up to 5 guilds.

I have my own PvE guild, I belong to two trading guilds, one PvP guild, and another guild my wife and family has just for extra storage.
