My biggest complaint with the game was the total bullshit upgrade system. Gear tiers were everything in pvp and the only REAL way to increase that was to spend real money, and I mean TONS of real money.

I will try it, only played once in beta.

I don't know, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I just don't trust them anymore. What they did last time left such a bad taste in my mouth. Still tempted to try because I loved the game in alpha.

If only they had listened 2 years ago. All the changes sound good, so I guess it could be worth a try. I, like many people, quit not because the game was bad but because the monetization was terrible.

What they did just before launch has put Trion on my blacklist and I will never spend another penny on any product they're associated with.

They showed off the game in an actually fun and balanced state for months, sold millions in founders packs on that game and then right before launch they went "oh btw, we're nerfing the ability to get gear without paying money or grinding until your soul bleeds. Thanks for the money, suckers!"

    F Trion.

I might try this game again.   The gear problems along with the forced pvp were a huge issue.  I don't mind spending money on a game I like, but Trion abused the money issue so bad I just stopped playing all their games.

This game had so much potential and then "The Land Rush" occurred and I rage quit shortly after that. Housing was so unique and awesome but not any fun to acquire even with a large guild helping it just too much time and work to get a decent plot of land and try all the housing features available. Honestly a system they should have changed or upgraded, maybe added some limitations to plots..

Just keep in mind that Trion has stated items from the cash shop will eventually be introduced on the new servers.  Now exactly what and how fast is anyones guess but that is enough for me to stay out of the game.  If they promised to keep "advancement" items out forever, I would be much more interested but this seems like a ploy to get people in and then after a few months go right back to the same crap most of us left over.

I also feel bad for the current players who are staying on the original servers, sure was nice to open new servers and turn the old servers into ghost towns until the next server merge.

I'd be triple accounting this game if it had a monthly fee and no pay to win whatsoever. Just sayin'.
As it stands I won't touch it.

I would agree, if they at least tried making 1 fresh start p2p server I'd be all over it as long as it didn't have the CS.

Just hope Trion have more control over this if XLgame have control then will end up being the same thing as before with all the complain will not stop XLgame want to make even more money when they see a lot people in the game.

How I feel about Trion. They were amazing when RIFT launched and slid into shit and have never come back. Ruined AA for me with the money grabbing b.s.

I'd be fairly certain they'll screw up this launch too. Good luck for those willing to give them another shot, I won't.

I just spent a few hours reading about this update (I only played very briefly at launch). So, two of the new zones are just pure housing zones, 1400-1500 plots available in each. Also, they raised the maintenance cost (tax?) on plots beyond your first one. It gets increasingly outrageous the more plots you own. The word on the forums is that it should drastically cut down on people being land barons. Hopefully those two things combined will make the land rush situation better--especially on the fresh start server.

Lets just forget the mindnumbing pve to lvl 55, where probably 90% quitted before lvl 30.

I forget, is this one open PvP all over the place? I tried it very briefly way back when and wasn't drawn in. But love the look of the new Dwarves so maybe!

Server, as in one. (or maybe 2) I read they plan to be stingy on opening more because they want to minimize future merges.

I won't be surprised if there is a big queue at launch.

Hopefully they aren't selling queue priority.

Thank you. I like PvP, just not open gank style PvP. Been in the mood for a fantasy mmo so may have to try this again.

DMkano "They changed their stance on this - the market place changes on most complained about items such as removal of rambling saplings is permanent."

"so the cash shop will never have these severely op items again"

Oh wow, so the Rumbling Sapling removal is permanent? Damn, the game was at it's best (imho) until this specific change came into play. Erma gerd...remember the secret tree farm wars? Some of the most fun i have ever had in an MMORPG hands down. Setting alarms for insane times to get up the wee a.m's. Hunting and scouting out opposition farms omnomnom!

Nag Dangit, temptation to go back on my permanent anti Trion stance is so strong right now...rubrubrubrubgrrrrr...FUCK IT! I'm going to give it another go. I simply cannot recall having as much fun as i did in AA or in any other game that has come since and there have been way to many.
You just sealed the deal DMKano. <3 :)<br />

AA is an outstanding MMO , my only complaint ever has been the endgame P2W aspects , Trion seems to be trying in this area , Im willing to give them one more chance , Only because it is a great game , Man they better not muck this up again ..

No longer sell labor potions. The only way to improve your Labor is through patron or a 30-day Labor Stipend (mini-subscription that gives you 1,000 bonus labor a day.

    GG decision fucking moron.
