ArcheAge News - The Trion Worlds team has announced that due to issues deploying the ArcheAge expansion, Revelation, North American servers are offline and will hopefully be back up by 12 pm Pacific / 3 pm Eastern if all goes according to plan. The EU release of Revelation seems to have been successfully deployed.

One of these years they'll manage to get a launch right.

How am I not suprised by this. I see they haven't learned alot since the initial launch of Archeage where practicaly every month something went wrong (in the EU at least). If Trion is trying to convince people that it is worth going back to the game then they are getting off on the wrong foot.

Never played AA after Alpha due to server instabilty, endless queues which locked me out, combined with the rampant land hacking convinced me to stay far away.

    http://forums.archeagegame.com/showthread.php?301050-ArcheAge-North-America-Revelation-Update-12-10-16-at-1-00-AM-PST-NA-Validation

7:00 AM PST -- Good morning everyone. The team has continued to work through the night to resolve yesterday's issues, and we continue to be on track for North America's release as early as 10:00 AM PST. If that should change, we'll update everyone here in this thread.

Already issues, just as with all the patch updates that affected land grabs, no wonder I quit awhile back.

Yup, they always do this and never attempt to do ANYTHING to mitigate issues. It must be depressing to work at a place like that.

Fresh start people were ready for Sat. It's a time sensitive game and very much relies on being online the minute the game launches. Within 3-4 hours the prime land spots are gone, within 4-8 hours the normal spots are gone and you're now saving up gold to buy a plot.

Sunday will probably be another round of ineptitude. They will randomly bring the servers online. People will zerg them up creating super long queues forcing some to try to buy patron to get ahead. Server will probably go down again and not be fixed until Monday where reasonable people will be at work and miss out.

The thing is Archeage isn't for reasonable people. You're not going to log on and play normal hours with 1 character with 1 Patron account and eventually be on an even playing field with others in due time. The game is for folks who have 7-8 accounts who will spend 8-10 hours of repetition until their labor runs out, OR people who will throw absorbent amounts of cash at the game to circumvent the fundamental silliness of it all.

Enjoy the cuteness of the initial weeks/months. Fresh start will start smelling like old socks soon enough.

The changes they made to "land grabbing" a while ago have made a TON of difference - first you have to completely finish building before you can get another plot - on a new server this means you gotta have your stone, wood etc.. all ready to finish the construction.

The increase in tax certs for multiple plots is BRUTAL - this doesn't come into play at launch of a new server but plays a big part of land ownership over time as it makes it VERY hard to do much else if you have too much land, the taxes on it will force you to get rid of land plots.

Wish they did that from the start,  ide still be playing prolly.

I wanted to give it a try on a fresh start server prophecy. No chance. I queued 14h today. This server start is worse than any game launch i had in my past 15y playing mmorpgs.

"10:36 AM PST Update: We are waiting on opening additional servers at this time in order to allow more people to log in on the open servers. Our next release is planned to be a single server, but we are waiting on that for now as we continue to investigate login progression."

    :) Oh Trino~

Wait there is only one Server for each region?
Didn't they think that all its player base would like to try the Fresh Servers?

My answer to your question is "Its Trion." Should be all the answer you need to that and future questions.

No worries mine was a rhetoric question.
If you read my post history you'd know what I think about Trion :)

Yea  I tried to tell them about a month after launch and well I guess they didn't care because they didn't do anything about it for at least a year.
Are you onto something or just on something?

Like I said in the other thread. Original launch was like this and 2.zero was like this. Servers being taken down or inaccessible. They also had a major update where the servers were down for an extended period of time as well.

I thik original launch some servers were down for 3 days. 2.zero some were down for a couple days while others remained up. So a cluster there as well.

Not sure if its totally Trions fault as Rift just had its expansion release and other than the bugs and unfinished stuff they pushed it with anyway the servers were relatively stable other than some major lag.

Either way AA is a cursed game and people should just move on and forget about it.

I should hope a company like Trion could handle the load of a couple of dozen players logging into a brand new expansion...or did you mean the original Rift launch back when Trion wasn't incompetent?

Seems like little improvements made.  Launches should get better each time not worse.

Are you trying to infer that AA has more players than Rift still? I doubt it. Neither have that many but I suspect Rift has far more players than AA.
