I was just wondering what kept you guys playing this game, everything is so dumbed down my girlfriend as this being her first MMO (cause i see this game just as a giant tutorial on how most mmos work) got to level 60 within the first 2 months. Playing around 3-4 hours a day at most. I dont understand how you can keep playing this dragged out newbie game, so i made a poll.

Didn't see that option.

It sounds great, so great in fact, I pitty those who canceled - Some deluded SWG fanboi who pities me.
I don't like it when you say things. - A Vanguard fan who does too.

First of all, it is the most accessible and welcoming MMO, I would even say game in general, on shelves today, and all those poll questions are bias as hell, we might as well be wearing yellow stars.
Now, I think the reason I am playing is that there's so much more to do than in others of its genre. Not only can you fight against NPCs, you can fight in Battlegrounds and just on whatever peice of ground you find an opposite faction. I am not saying other games don't have this to offer, I am just saying that this game has more than 4 people taking advantage of these features at a time.
I have tried Dark Age of Camelot and a score of other 'grown-up' MMO's and still found that I was still, figuratively speaking, paying my monthly fees to them in diapers. Sure, the community and roleplaying in this game may not be the best., it is far better than most of the other games out there that are as accessible and inviting as it.
I, and hopefully many other subscribers to this forum, have found no reason to answer your poll.
Just stirring up the nest.

played it and left it, i will try something more indepth now.
wow was great fun till 60, after that game becomes endless grind and doesnt live up on blizzard's promises for casual game.
Same for me Shayde. The quality and fun factor of it have really made me a fan.

I played WoW because my friends wanted to play too, we planned to have a PVP group/s running around doing PVP ( not instanced crap battlegrounds ), and when the PVP came out we quit and only few remained.
we were like 20 people, now what remains i think 5 of them ? and some others who never played an mmo before.
WoW better come out with something good this fall on the expansion. Or many people will leave the game. The end-game in WoW is plain and simply awful. Terrible PvP, long repeatable raids for 40 players (ok two 20 player raids). I think you will see many people leave the game when Conan and Warhammer come out. Dont get me wrong there will still be a ton of people who play, but it will mostly be kids. Older gamers who have seen it all will want a change.
I initially tried WoW because SOE ruined SWG. I stayed because it is very polished and relatively bug free.
