Mmorpg veteran looking for a game to sink some time into now.
Things I am looking for:
-Roleplaying scene
-Fun pvp and a good amount of it
-Good amount of customization [with a lot of cosmetics in game, in-store/out of store]

Mmorpgs that I have enjoyed in the past:
SWTOR, Blade and Soul, Dragon nest, ToS

    I would say no to Archeage -It has so much to love but their business model is really terrible.  I prefer sub games, but even the sub in Archeage really is just the start for how much money you'll need to put into the game to keep up.
    BDO to me was a lot of fun, if you're into Sand Box Games, with a rediculous amount of grind BDO will be for you.
    If you're more in the vein of EQ / WOW than FFXIV is probably for you.  

    Also BDO and FFXIV's combat could not be more different BDO is a very quick combat game where you will run through tons and tons of potions.  FFXIV is a more strategic slow paced tab target MMO.  BDO will have more PVP than FFXIV as FFXIV shines a lot more in pve than BDO does.

    I personally lean towards BDO, but their cash shop does have somethings that are almost "needs" more than wants so even though it's buy to play come into it expecting to spend a little money just to get some of those items.  Mainly pets (who auto loot).

    None of those games will fill that request ..

       FF14 would be the Best MMORPG of the 3 , but pvp is lacking , everything else is top shelf ..

       BDO .....Is just a bad game , built around how tedious they can make every activity and steer you to the CashShop with said Tedium...

      Archeage .... would fit the bill , but the Legacy servers , are P2W and to late for you , The FS servers altho the attempt to address the P2W problems they are still brewing beneath the surface like a 364 lb fat lady just had all you can eat Taco Bell , waitin to erupt ...

      Hmm the Warhammer server has great PVP and some really dedicated RP guilds , but customization is lacking ...

    FFXIV or BDO, one is subscription and the other is 5 bucks. Just get both. ArcheAge is still ruined by incompetent companies but you can see that for yourself since its "F2P".

    ESO definitely... best mmorpg ever!  Has great pve and pvp.  Little secret - once you hit level 10 go to pvp area (huge area) Cyrodiil, select Blackwater Blade Campaign which is for all of us under level 50.  Join some of the big groups in there and have a blast sieging and attacking castles and keeps!  Learn to use the siege weapons and it is a blast... and don't forget to grab the daily bounty quests to kill x amount of enemy players.  Crafting is a blast because it makes a difference to your gear immediately.

    None of them really fit what you're looking for.

    If you haven't played TERA, it's a lot like Dragon Nest.

    FFXIV has excellent dungeons and raids but is mediocre to bad at everything else. You will probably enjoy it if you enjoyed SWTOR's mechanics.

    BDO is so different from what you've been playing, I would have to recommend watching some Twitch streams to see if it has what you're looking for.

    If you can afford it, FFXIV is very well balanced.

    FFXIV Balmung server for RP scene. PvP is getting some restrictions lifted with new pvp rewards coming next month from Garo Live Action/Anime show collaboration event.

    Thanks or a lot of the help guys! Just to clarify, the things that I want are not things I need. Though I would say a roleplaying community would be the one that is most important. 

    From the looks of it, I'll drop ArcheAge off the list. So now I'm kinda stuck between FFIV and BDO o_o

    - FFXIV  it's a nice game but just too linear, if you enjoy Themeparks and dungeons though this might be for you.

    -Archeage nice game but the Cash Shop ruined it completely, also the Fresh Servers suffers from an old exploit, Apex duping. Basically great potential but just a mess.

    -BDO is really fun, it can be grindy at times but there are so many things to do you will never get bored, and good PvP (you need to be well geared).
    Weak point is its PvE, very basic.

    I am playing BDO and having a blast, so probably you guessed which one I am going to suggest.
    If you start playing now you gonna get a free Pet in 14 days (Xmas Event).
