E-Visualsoft Games has released the first early game play video from its forthcoming survival title, New Dawn. Viewers will get a good look at a variety of systems including combat and animations as well as monster / NPC AI and animations.

    I keep getting confused between this unknown indie "New Dawn" and Amazon's upcoming "New World". The settings of the 2 games are vaguely similar too. Coincidence ?

    I will not deny that the game looks good, but why do these small companies focus so much on making realistic looking games? They all have 2 things in common... 1) they all look suspiciously realistic, and 2) none of them deliver a great game(only a pretty one).

    Why don't they get the message? A fun game with lots of things to do is always better than a photo-realistic game with nothing to do but "survive" aka gather resources and hit stuff with a rock.

    The industry really likes to follow on all the wrong trends, IMO.

    They will all almost definitely have a paid Early Access launch with "pre-alpha" content. Early Access seems to generate surprising amounts of money nowadays.

    I love the idea behind a survival game, I just hate the fact that so many companies implement it so poorly and provide crap gameplay.

    I agree.
    I know what the engine can do but we need to see what the developer can do.It is a KS so the dev has nothing to lose everything to gain,the gamer's have everything to lose,including their money.

    Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

    Looks nice but unless the combat is tab target or telegraphs im not interested.
    Cant stand all this point and shoot combat crap thats being made these days.
