The acronym MMORPG use to mean Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game.

But the acronym MMMORPG now currently means Microscopic Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game. Kappa.

"thoughts?" BF1+2 were lame wannabe Battlefield clones with a star wars skin made for consoles, horrible floaty shooting mechanics, abysmal scope options, with the worst map design I've ever seen.. I have no idea why they were ever successful or popular.

    But that's just me.

Not much has changed about them now that EA/dice has control.

Is it a fair assessment to say that Star Wars Battlefront is pretty much a 'linear' theme park game?  Plus, kinda on-rails?

I loathe BF, COD and games with such content. I think they're abysmal games, do not like it one.

I am a huge original Star Wars fan, I watched the originals in the cinemas, I do not like Episode 1-2-3 content at all.
I do not like Ancient Star Wars lore (SWTOR era, or other lore dating back before the original trilogy do not captur emy interest at all)

Battlefront offers me Episode 4-5-6 era mass combat content and gameplay.
    That's why I like it.

Battlefront 2 doesn't need to learn anything from the Battlefield series, it is sadly a Battlefield clone already. Battlefront 2 needs to learn a lot from the original Star Wars Battlefront games. The first game lacked a single player Star Wars campaign. The second one is going to lack multiplayer modes. Are they saving those basic standard features for a trilogy? shame on them. Typical EA milking machine. I bought Battlefield 4, the premium edition with all DLCs for $22 bucks. That's what their games are worth now. Their last good shooter for me personally as Bad Company 2.
