Recently i read a comic book called "Onepunch-Man" .

in The Pub at MMORPG.COM
And one line that stuck me hard . "Being strong is boring" .

So , why did i bring this to MMORPG ?

IMO , mmorpg player nowadays are too strong compare to the old age . They can do everything solo , things that take group to finish in old age .

But it wasn't the reason for this topic .

My main reason for this topic is a question : Are you feel boring when you are overpowered ?

    Oh, I just remembered some lines from The Dictator movie:

    Doctor: "Do you want Aladeen news or Aladeen news?"

    Patient: "Uhh, the Aladeen news..?"

    Doctor: "You're HIV-Aladeen."

    being OP is indeed boring. that's what happens when developers give healing abilities to every class. the need for the Holy trinity is blurred and even vanished in some cases.

    Actually it goes just a tad deeper and i see it in other players even if they don't know it themselves.

    Once you get that peak build,the best weapon the best gear,you likely are VERY bored.It just takes time for various people as some will enjoy showing off their gear to others while some will be like "ok now what do i do".
    This is why we see a huge influx at every expansion and then soon people get those added 5 levels,the new gear,they are off playing  another game.These games in general have VERY shallow designs behind them to keep you coming back,it is ALWAYS the same two ideas,well 3 ideas.
    1 new class/s
    2 new gear/loot
    3 Few new levels.

    If they did not offer new loot,i bet 90% of the players would leave these so called great games.Take away Wow's mounts and weapons and the game is no longer a playable game.That is how shallow these games are for real role playing content.So when people say they are sick of Fantasy,you can lol@ them because without that shiny sword of mayhem,people are not playing these mmorpg's.BTW don't remind me about MUD's ,that was then,that was the ONLY way to deliver a game,people would not accept that anymore,at least no more than maybe 100 people lol.

    I wanted to scold you for calling Onepunch Man a comic, but apparently it did begin as a web-comic.. so I will just give up on that.

    and yes.. short attention span society is hard to deal with.

    hurry up season 2 !

    but anyway yeah insta gratification games like wow bore me silly, i really liked tera but i went back after it went f2p and omg  every dungeon while levelling is soloable now,  and i dont mean cos your op that just made it solo content :o  yeah so i uninstalled instantly

    id say the lack of a goal makes it boring if your able to kill evrything there is no goal left .
