Another Frivolous Lawsuit: Man claims GoW Character Created After Him

CrazKanukCrazKanuk Member EpicPosts: 6,130
Apparently this guy thinks that the GoW character Cole Train was created after him. He believes it so much that he hired a forensic voice examiner to prove it. You know how else has a similar voice to Cole Train? The person who voiced the character, lol.

Some other claims include that Cole Train has a similar build to him (ummmm, no), that he used to play football (Yes, the guy played 1 game in the NFL, 1 game! And Epic sifted through the thousands of players who played more than 1 game just to find him), and that his derby hat, wrist bands and gold tooth are based on his fashion choices (which if this is the case, he should probably sue half the NBA as well).

It's hilarious, and sad, the extent that some people will go to make a dollar. I'd say if the Lindsay Lohan case was dismissed, this probably doesn't stand a chance in hell. Honestly, they need to start charging money for court time, it's waaaaaay too easy in the US to toss up hail mary lawsuits in hopes that one will stick and you'll get a payday.

Cases like these tie up court time - potentially harming everyone.

Maybe - if a case is deemed to be "without merit" - the court should be able to levy punitive damages on the lawyers bringing the cases. A possibility the lawyers would have to defend themselves against - so do a lot more than simply accept it and throw it out there if they want to avoid the risk of a large fine for - at the end of the day - wasting the court's time.

"Mr. Hamilton, you've presented a good case as to the similarities between you and Mr. Train. One question: Have you at any point in your life effectively fought off a horde of alien insects?"
