Taking the easy out PBS will be using a "player centered economy "
"Our original plan called for a complex supply and demand model based on the nature and size of every port. While this model was sophisticated and interesting, it suffered from one minor and one major flaw. The minor flaw was that players were not as involved in the process as we would have liked; much of the activity of the economy happened 'off-stage'. The major flaw was that the system would require a small army of designers and several years to create all the content, and then the whole thing would still need tuning. For a small company, this was not an option."

I like the economy system they're using. Its very SWG, which i think was the best crafting/economy in an MMO.
Only problem I see with the fixed lots are the fact that it seems to force anyone who wants to be a serious manufacturer to get several accounts. Having 2-3 accounts will give you a huge market advantage over someone with just 1, specially if they are from different nations enabling you to bypass taxes etc.
Other than that it seems like a very nice system, I would have preferd nonfixed resources (mines running dry and new deposites found in other cities etc) but this will work fine too if they spread out the resources enough (random will not do the trick, this has to be done by hand with care).
"Memories are meant to fade. They're designed that way for a reason."
It is exactly what I have been looking for since the collapse of SWG.

I must indeed say that the economic system looks intriguing. I am also a former SWG player and really hate what they did to the game. Perhaps we will get a new chance with this one?
I am definitely logging on for this one, it looks great and will hopefully be great!
