Heroes of the Storm News - The Heroes of the Storm forum has been agitated after the announcement of the release of the next hero, Valeera Sanguinar, a Warcraft Assassin character. Players are wondering why so many 1) Warcraft heroes; and 2) so many Assassin heroes have been released into the game. In answer, Blizzard's Lead Hero Designer Kent-Erik Hagman responded with a lengthy post explaining the hero design process and how the decisions have been made with regard to the release of heroes into the game.

    Eh? Hardly.

I think it's pretty awesome they are so engaged with their community. The WoW dev team could learn a thing or two here.

meanwhile the last support that was released (auriel) was in august 2016 and the one before that (morales) was in october 2015 !!!

there are currently only 2 really viable healers (out of 10) fit for the current meta (malfurion and rehgar) and 2 or 3 situational picks (brightwing on some maps and if somehow the opposing team forgot the memo that burst damage is currently the best and most efficient way to win, auriel on some maps with some comps and morales in some weird cases).

tyrande is an assassin but since there are only 10 supports they can't remove her from the support roster.
kharazim is fun as a dps but clunky, not really good and mostly situational as a solo healer.
tassadar even after his very recent rework suffers from the same old problem of not being viable as a solo support. (and completly missing the potential of the hero lorewise, i mean the guy is a high templar that mastered the dark templar art but somehow ended up as a crappy shield bot in hots ... )

people have been begging for new supports for a while or at least a rework of the two useless heroes that are lili (arguably usable as an off support vs heavy auto attack comps) and uther.

but it's ok they are listening to the community right ? i mean they released 5 assassins in a row ...

Listening to the community was what ruined WoW. Blizzard games attract a lot of whiners

Well it is EASY to listen to monetary demands,we want to BUY fro ma more diverse selection, honestly Blizzard was dumb, they should have realized sales would be bigger with more diversity.

So yeah i hardly call that listening when it comes to making more money ,they see that as a no brainer.Oh you want to buy more Heroes SURE we can do that.

How about the constant complaining of AfK players in quick match?I guarantee the afk in quick match has caused more anger than having too many Valeera clones. So yeah Blizzard listens to where the money is they have never cared about integrity.Geesh look at Hearthstone, they sell a frigging STATIC avatar picture lmao wtf?Buying a max level character...yep they don't care about integrity, how about REMOVE any and all sales of heroes, have players EARN them 100% of the way?

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

What? Rarely do I get AFK's in QM. Plus, it's QM. Play ranked if you want more competition and try-hards.

Don't take him seriously. He hates Blizzard. He pretents that he play Blizzard games so he can come here and bash them. Classic Wizardy. Bash Blizzard whenever you find an opportunity and compare everything with FFXI. And tell everyone how everything other than FFXI sucks. I just pity him...

Too bad there's no one left on the WoW team that has enough clout to actually make decisions about the games future.

And why so many Warcraft 1 heroes? Its quite obvious Blizz is working on a Warcraft revival.

What do you mean by "Warcraft revival"?
