Sir,
Last year your estimable publication carried a story revealing the shocking level of homophobia in Oxford - a poster promoting homosexuality was torn down in Oriel JCR and posted back to the College JCR rep by an undergraduate whose religious principles had been grossly offended by the poster.
I have a shocker of my own to report. Having spent a pleasant weekend in the Great City of the North - Manchester - representing my College on University Challenge, I returned to discover that my list of the aims of the British Conservative Monday Club which had been affixed to my door was torn down....[rant, rant, rant]...Call in the Bulldogs!...[rant, rant, rant] Surely this incident of vicious Anti-Conservative feeling should be front page news in the Oxford Student... [rant, rant, rant]...

We can safely say that never in all our time at the Oxford Student
have we ever received a letter that was quite as dull as this one.
We tried to read all the way through, honest we did, but we're afraid,
Mr.Callaghan, that your letter was just too boring. However, we at the
