Patch 3.5 is here! With The Far Edge of Fate, we have a new raid, a new extreme primal and two dungeons to chew on. That — along with a host of quality of life changes and additions across the board — have really built upon the content available. This is only part one, with the second part due in March, but what’s here is hugely substantial.

    LOL, just saw the screenies and figured it was a new game coming out because I noticed the words "pre-order". I'm old, what can I say.

    sooo....telling us the expansion will be on pre-order...yet they wont tell us what the other class(es) are before making it available for pre-purchase? smh

    Lets face it if you follow / play this game you already know what jobs are part of the expansion. They already have released the first is Red Mage and the second has been data mined and all over the Internet as Samurai (unless Sneaky Square Enix placed it there as a honey pot). You can always wait to pre-order after the last Fan Faire is over where they are releasing said information. No one is forcing you to pre-order day one.

    yeah , preorder is more for collector edition , there is 0 need to preorder digital since it will be avaliable until the day of release , and wayyy before that we will know the jobs , the new game systems and whatnot

    Not to mention, we have figured out the hint left by Naoki Yoshida wearing a Spiderman shirt as being the hint for the unrevealed job! Director of spiderman is Sam Rami. New job 8s Samurai. Yoshida is so clever!

    Good thing that a PS4Pro will be here SOON(tm) so I can finally sit back again and enjoy this great MMO once more (it's already kinda unplayable on my PS3). Hope all the new content I missed already will be as good as what I've played so far, and that the upcoming expansion (where PS3 will be ditched altogether) will rock as well!

    Yeah, but it's not unreasonable to expect that they would have listed the contents of the pre-order at the time they're ready to sell it. They don't have to give details, but they should at least have a bullet point list of what you get.
    • A new adventure in Ala Mhigo
    • New jobs, including red mage
    • New exploration with swimming and diving
    • Level cap increase from 60 to 70
    • Changes to the battle system
    • New areas to explore
    • A new primal─Lakshmi

    If it is Samurai, I guess like the DK it will go the tank route.  I actually think this is a good idea even if it pisses off a few people who wanted it to be dps.  Making the tank classes very attractive classes will lead to more people trying them out and possibly sticking with them. This of course leading to more tanks being available for queues.

    You should have actually read the point of the discussion specifically about the classes. But being "right" is more important than the truth lately.

    You should have actually read the point of the discussion specifically about the classes. But being "right" is more important than the truth lately.
    The expansion is coming out in June.  Over 5 months away.  If it gets to be end of May and you still don't know what the classes are, then I could see people complaining.  Now though?  Nope.
