I'm sorry but I will not pursuade anyone else to try this great game. You will have to check other reviews or see for yourself.

As with any other game, you just need to try it for yourself. I have been playing Horizons for about 3 days now, and admittedly, at first I didn't like it too much. But after fully customizing my controls and interface, and gaining levels with my Mage, I enjoy playing it.

It could use more content for newbie areas (It may have more stuff, I'm just not tough enough to really go anywhere other than grinding against the maggots). But it seems to be a huge game.

Also, combat is a bit more than what everyone is saying. It's not merely clicking on your favorite spell or attack and waiting. Some strategy is needed to negotiate tougher opponents.

I like the game, but different people have different tastes...

Aye, no one can really decide for you, and no one can post anything here that prolly isn't posted already in one of the other "help me decide" threads. Opinion wise, it's a great game. But it's up to you to decide if ya wanna take that step. ;)

Well considering that the servers just expanded from 2000 max players to 4000 player and 4/11 are always full, yeah, its got 10000 players on at once at the least. I bet weekends it can have up to 25000

I advise not bothering with this game.  Like someone said, you can check the reviews.  But just to sum it up, this game is overly simple (i.e., casting, firing a bow, swinging a sword are all really the same, just repeated attacks.  No mana for spells, you can fire a bow with a monster in your face, etc).  Character customization is nil, you don't choose stats, appearance is limited.  The game is weak.  I think AC2 had more going for it than Horizons does, and that's saying a lot.  I'm holding out for EQ2.

I cant compare it to other games as i have only played DAoC. Having said that i have a lvl 12 cleric with lvl 16 fletching skill and i have never been in a group. You can get that far by yourself or you can group if you wish. I have made most of my own tools and weapons so far . The non-starter towns are a bit less populated but not bad ..and they also have different lower level mobs besides the maggots (like ice beetles etc.). So far i havent seen any player made houses on the server i am on , but i dont think it will be long. And i think the combat system is kinda fun ..i like not having to watch my endurance.

Hope that helps a little image

Yeah i see where ur coming from with combat hit the botton and it auto attacks but most games have that any way like uo had it for the most part eq and daoc had it so its really nothing simple or new the combat like that seems ok but really what can u expect on this type of game??
