World of Warcraft: Legion will be receiving its second milestone update when v7.2 “Tomb of Sargeras” hits in the next several months. Nighthold, the most recent raid, has just been opened in Mythic difficulty as well as LFR Wing 1 and the next big patch has already been applied to the Public Test Realm. 7.2 will bring in a new raid, a new dungeon and much more.

That's why I usually stay away from WoW threads.
If only I was not so sick and tired of the Casino part of WoW and the reused content and just WoW in general.
This would be an amazing game to pick up right about now, if I had not played it for 12 years.
I envy those who are about to enter WoW for the first time.
I keep getting sucked back in!

Legendaries, Warforge, Titanforge most DPS classes relying on some element of RNG (my old rogue being one of the biggest culprits) the Keystone upgrade system (maybe your 12 is a good one or maybe its halls / Vault with bad modifiers). Its just a little too much RNG, it has drove me back to FF where I can chip away at an upgrade and know I am making measurable progress.
Combined with the inflexibility of switching specs (Oh if only legendary effects worked like set bonuses where it altered depending on spec) even with catch up mechanics.
The constant weekly buff nerf cycles which are as heavy handed as ever and result in further cycles of buffing and nerfing that not only affect numbers, but class play styles too (I actually feel sorry for hunters).
Blizzard hit it out the park with ideas, but over the medium term they are dividing the player base into the haves and have not's in the RNG lottery. No amount of "effort" can make up for if you are lucky or not. Luck has its part, but it plays too much of a part in Legion and thats why I can feel the shine really starting to wear off for me.
I still haven't played it! and from what Ieveling been reading (at the point where I am I could as well try it, but dang those graphics), leveling is so easy that it is dreadfully boring to do.
Its the colors and the shapes. So many extremely beautiful games have released over the years, but Blizzard knows its not really about the art or detail, its the colors. They blind us and no other game of the same scale of succes has managed to hypnotize its audience with the same extreme amount of bright yet not neon bright, just bright and diverse colors.
At least that is what I have considered now and again.
I for example really enjoy the art of ESO and the landscapes are beautiful, then I log into WoW and is struck with a rainbow and fireworks of colors.
We get hypnotized, its soft and shines and looks friendly, almost childlike innocent. Until you enter a mythic raid or mythic dungeons, or you begin to realise exactly the scale of designs put in place to make sure you log in and start getting caught up in the RNG , then it is not so friendly anymore.
But color wise WoW is a peacock and it knows who is boss.
There are no other peacocks on the market, just a lot of grey brown chickens.
At this stage though, I have so many personal issues with WoW, that I am not in any way inclined to suggest anyone to try it out.
WoW is not as friendly as it looks, is all I can say.
But it is King of the market for a reason, other than the colors, it adapts, not to everybody's satisfaction, but Blizzard, I believe, also dont care much about that.
Oldtimers like myself, who just log in and air frustration, when we really should move on, we are not the target audience that Blizzard wish to keep around, on the contrary.
The new players with a will of steel, a curiosity that allows them to meet the game with an open mind, they are in for a hell of a ride, if they decide to adventure along in all areas of the game. And those are the players Blizzard wants.
Old players, or some of us, just believe it has started to smell like something is burning. While everybody else just runs along, diving into the new content, enjoying themselves.
And maybe what is the nearing of the end of a journey for some people, might just be the new beginning of an amazing adventure for others.
So WoW is undeniable still King, while I personally would like to see a decent challenger in the arena, if not to rule above WoW, then at least manage to pose as an equal.
You are right and wrong in the same time.
If you solo questing , you will have a blast leveling to max. If you will just level using dungeon finder, then yeah , at some point it will be boring.
You can just do the dungeon's once , and then go back to solo questing. I did that last time and was an awesome experience !
