Overpriced badly designed Elk Mount (it seems to sold very well so I can only imagine they going to release the recolor version of course with +500 More Expensive price).
A simple motif that cost more than DLC packs.
What else? I guess I'm just very very sad. I love ESO, but RNG loot boxes is the most thing I hate in MMORPG.
I never bought them even do not know if they exist in the game. Completely ignoring them changed nothing in my gameplay.
You should inherit the same point of view for nowadays its all about RNG and boxes everywhere.
beLIEve
But instead we are getting Crown RNG Boxes.
In B&S they had this. Not only once, but many times each come with their own costumes, and they even also put upgrading stones as one of their rewards, I forgot what was it called but it is equivalent to Tempering Alloys/Dreugh Wax/Rosin.
I've also bring the topics on my Traders guild, most of them were indifferent.
"Well then if you don't want it, just don't buy it!"
"No one forces you to buy such thing!"
"Well, maybe I'll buy some of the boxes like $20 and see how the loot like, hehe"
"It's their money, up to them what they want to spend it on is not your business. gtfo!! lol"
But my friend, let me tell you, not everyone are the same like you. Some of them are rather weak to this kind of gambling stuffs. Gambling addiction is a real thing http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/compulsive-gambling/basics/definition/con-20023242 Are you sure you want to support them in this gambling boxes thingy?
Lot of stories out there if you are willing to see.
These are all real stories.
Stories that have been shared by us by the people in the industry or stories we've heard first hand.
Sometimes brave individual developers will quit or walk away from those companies but systemically... Nothing.
So are you sure you want ZoS to be financially depends on ability to prey on just such people?
If you say "Yes", may Stendarr have mercy on you.

were in a world were everyone need money, were also in a world were everyone has major entitlement issues an think they should get everything for next to nothing or free.
supply an demand is great free market but their a point were regardless your demand they cannot financially long term afford to supply it, it a give an take or their be nothing left to take an the game will fade away.
but since you already left it all irrelevant an since you hated paying or did not feel it was worth it for cosmetics i doubt it a major loss.
He said no such thing. RNG boxes are gambling and gambling is regulated in this country. Besides, it's not like there isn't some middle ground. Limit the purchases to $10 a day is reasonable. Also make it opt-in where players get to decide if the even want to receive RNG boxes. If you're going to force players to either avoid them or use up an inventory slot, let them sell the boxes at a decent price.
"were also in a world were everyone has major entitlement issues"
Like companies who think they are entitled to your money by pressing you to engage in their gambling practices?
Supply and demand tends to break down when you effectively have a limitless supply anyway.
So by that logic I should be able to beat up old ladies in the street and take their money because they can't defend themselves?
There is a big difference between babysitting someone (i.e. I don't necessarily have to help old ladies cross the road), and intentionally praying on them, which is exactly what companies like Zenimax (and many others) are doing with RNG loot boxes. There is zero reason, beyond the greed of praying on addicted individuals (and hiding the true cost of certain items), that they couldn't have put all the items up for sale at a fixed price.
Also, yes, they absolutely should provide a safe environment where everyone can simply enjoy the game without bringing in real world concerns; at the very least they should be a bit more socially responsible and limit the amount of money an individual can spend on the game in a given time period (e.g. no more than $100 per month).
Props to ESO though, if it weren't for the loot boxes I would have tried it by now. My personal top MMO still remains FFXIV and I can't wait for the Stormblood expansion; one mention of loot boxes though, and I'm gone.
I am so good, I backstabbed your face!

Yeah we should totally totally defend drug dealer because it's definitely the addicts fault right?
Let me tell you that drug dealing is one of the worst crime you could ever do in this country where I currently live, the penalty is death.
