Given all of the connectivity and stability issues going on with Conan Exiles, I’ve not been able to make it too far into the game, but after many restarts, you tend to pick up a few things! This week, we’ll be sharing some tips for starting out in Conan Exiles.

    You can start out as any Religion, and you can ADD other religions as you go. You do this by finding the NPC. Yog's NPC is right near the bridge-far side of the river. Has anyone found the other ones?

    Make sure you approach the statue with the mural across the road from the water skin, for some more story voice over as well.

    I couldn't figure out how to get my arrows working with my bow. Every time I tried to  use my bow I got a no ammo message even though I crafted arrows. Is there something that I'll feel silly about missing?

    Drag the arrows onto the bow in your inventory.

    I learned the hard way that you "follow the road". The first time I made a beeline for resources and then started over and it made a world of difference.



    I would also suggest, early on, do not run towards any campfires you see. The light might be pretty but those around it will not enjoy your presence.



    Yeah.. I thought Ohhh! a camp!.. dead. Learning curve is fun.

    Also as mentioned in the article, learning the bedroll is consumed upon death was nice after my second death :-)

    The Brute which is the blunt weapon in this game is used for knocking out Yarlls and not killing them. So you dont want to use it for fighting only collecting slaves.

    ONe question I have is, is there is a bug in the storyline. Near where you first start there's a demon (bat) standing over a corpse; when you approach it you can pick up a book (the bat flies away) nearby there are more ruins, the bat is standing over another corpse there, with yet another book, I haven't been able to pick that one up. Anyone else able to?

    This lag and rubber banding is so reminiscent of Anarchy Online , not to be mean to Funcom but they have not really improved on it. Is it graphics are they of high quality or is it just a poor engine ?

    Anyone know how to make the greyed out PVP switch in server setting enabled so I can switch PVP on or off ? even though i'm logged in as admin this stays greyed out I have tried different commands in the server.ini.

    The serversettings.ini can get messed up and lose lines. Manually add pvpenabled=false

    Sounds tips! I've used all of them myself early on.
    I initially messed up with the bedroll though. I'm so used to 7D2D's system, that I assumed my location was saved the moment I put one down... I learned the hard way that this wasn't the case on CE >.>

    Its not a bug, there are alternate starting points on the map, so you've already picked up that lore.

    I know this is early release, but seriously a game in this state should never be released to steam.  I have encountered so many game breaking bugs and the lag is atrocious.

    If you are thinking of trying this game WAIT.  In it's current state it is almost unplayable.

    Its not a bug, there are alternate starting points on the map, so you've already picked up that lore.
    Cool was just making sure it wasn't something that was bugging out.
