Just for the hell of it I'll post. I've been reading these boards since 2004 but this is my first post. For anyone that can't figure out why all the pre-cu people can't let it go I throw this out:
PvP on Bloodfin (I'm biased) as a Rifle/CM/Doc template using a kryat t21 (or a jawa prior to stun armor) speed capped with high tick poison. Maybe the guys your up against you've fought before. Is their template the same? Is their title accurate? Are they using the same weapons you went up against last time. Are they really a novice brawler? What kinds of food are they jacked up on? Is their melee or ranged defense capped? or worse, both? Mind or health fire weapons? And oh yeah, where did we clone at again?
If this is Greek to you these are just some of the variable that went into pvp pre-cu. Its what made the game what it was imo. For those of you that remember what Im talking about...Cheers.

A rifleman cm calling pre-cu pvp complex is just irony at its finest. Face it, pre-cu pvp was garbage, its much better now that it actually requires a smidgeon of player skill.

HAM system was broken, MIND was not healable, and the weakest pool.
There was a wide variety of PvP templates. CM and Doctor were both very popular, along with all of the melee classes Pikemen, Fencer, TKA, not as many Swordsmen though. Riflemen was the only real ranged choice, Pistoleer wasn't the greatest except for some defenses, and Carbineer was right out. Notice pretty much all of these professions targeted the mindpool(pikemen mindfire polearms were crazy).
Sure mind was the weakest, so everyone ran around with it maxed via stat migration, then buffed with brandy and some food I can't remember. And if they were really good they used an entertainer buff, which sucked because they lasted maybe 1 hour to 2 hours, compared to 4 hour doc buffs.
Bloodfin was where PvP was at. Server crashing battles. Alas, SOE missed the boat and never really made the game for PvP and catered to the PvE.
