Conan Exiles News - Funcom has announced that the Conan Exiles Dev Kit that allows players to make and distribute mods for the survival title. Players will be able to upload custom mods via the Conan Exiles Steam Workshop for other players to plug into their version to enhance their game play experience.

    This is a very good idea and i would actually expect it since players are running their own servers.
    How good the dev kit is remains to be heard from users.

    Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

    Yeah, i am waiting to hear about the dev kit before i get the game, i love the option of being able to build my own content.

    Yep it is what made the Unreal community one of the greatest of all time and why the Unreal engine became so noted and popular because it created a large community.
    Sadly Epic being so busy because they must cater to their engine and customers that they took a long lul in the gaming area only really doing the GOW for console so the Unreal franchise died out.

    The tools have to be good,if they are and they continue to build on the game then it might stick around for awhile.

    Would love to see a high fantasy total conversion. I like a lot of what I see about Conan Exiles mechanics-wise, but I'd much rather see more magic I guess.

    You do know Funcom already announced sorcery for their game right? Patience is a virtue or at least it used to be.
    If he knew, he wouldn't be saying he would like to see more magic, would he now?

    It's definitely worth the $29. The real trick is to either a) find a descent server to play on or b) run a descent server to play on AND find a way to get others to play on it.

    I spun up one for co-workers, friends & family, and one of my bosses caught wind of it, and we may have a company branded server or two.
