EVE Online News - In a new partnership between CCP, Massively Multiplayer Online Science, University of Reykjavik and the University of Geneva have formed a unique opportunity for players to participate in the search for "exoplanets", those planets that lie outside of our own solar system. Using provided data, players will work to reach "comparative consensus on classification of the data" that will then be returned to the University of Geneva for further analysis in locating exoplanets.

Exoplanets usually refer to planets outside our solar system, not necessarily outside our galaxy. We currently don't have the technology to see individual stars within other galaxies, let alone see the planet shadows against those stars.

I make spreadsheets at work - I don't want to make them for the games I play.

It seems like Elite:Dangerous players would be a better source than Eve due to how the galaxy in Elite is more of a closer representation to the actual Milky Way and Eve is just a fictional galaxy, yeh? *shrug*

If Elite:Dangerous is on all of the consoles then is no comparison to EVE Online in my opinion
